This was not an Auberge (inn)! It was basically a campsite with a few cabins which were quite overpriced for a place that didn’t even have running water and was occupied by a family of mice that would play drums in the ceiling, “kitchen cabinets” and almost everywhere! Don’t let me start on the state of toilets/bathrooms that were miles away from our “cabin” and there were only 4 of them for the entire property!!

Although it says auberge and cabins in the name it is a bit of a misnomer as it is really more like a campsite and hostel. We were surprised that our chalet did not have a bathroom. We knew after booking that there was no potable water and had to bring our own or purchase on site. Although we were told this we did not know that bathrooms and showers were communal. Beautiful surroundings but just be sure that you are looking for more of a ‘camping’ experience and not one of a hotel or auberge

Nice place and fun adventure

The name of the hotel should let you in on what to expect here. It's an adventure and there's a lot to do. It's not close to Gaspe, but there is a lot you can do here. Located right on QC-132, it's relatively easy to find and you get a good view of the water. The food was good, the night atmosphere was fun, and we rented a cottage which exceeded our expectations. I will definetly come back.

Much better camping experience with nice facility

If you expecting the 4/5 star hotel this is not what you are looking for. However if you want to be closer to nature, having some great camping experience and yet don't want sleeping on the floor and worry for bear visit. This is the GREAT choice. The staff is very nice and the facilities on site have way beyond I can imagine. You can do canoeing, hang around in their "club house" , seeing the sunrise from their beach (or do yoga although we didn't join). Location-wise, it is very close to the Forillion national park. My kids love it and we are definitely come back if we ever visit Gaspe again

Youth Hostel

Not to be confused with a hotel/motel. Bring your own towels and toilet paper. Cold shower. Line up for toilets in the morning. Tiny rough hewn cabins. Very popular with young French-speaking Europeans, friendly and sociable. More like camping than a hotel. Convenient to Forillon National Park.

If you are comfortable with rustic and a hostel setting then this is a fantastic place. Cabins and camping available, right on the ocean/river. Gorgeous views. Friendly staff. Probably best for young people, and French speaking.

Nous serions restés plus longtemps, si cela avait été possible. Le chalet est spacieux. Le site est superbe avec une belle vue sur l'eau. Nous avons apprécié les tables et chaises extérieures et le feu de camp pour profiter de la belle température.

Un trĂšs bon sĂ©jour dans la cabane ‘’La Grange’’. TrĂšs immersif, on a beaucoup aimĂ© et on s’est sentit bien. Il y a ce qu’il faut sur place mais pour cuisiner mĂȘme si tout les ustensiles sont sur place il n’y a pas d’huile, sec, poivre
et il faut tout de mĂȘme penser Ă  l’eau potable (en vente Ă  l'accueil au besoin) car l’eau courante n’est pas raccordĂ©e. Nous avons l’habitude de voyager en camion alors gĂ©rer son eau potable / eau de mĂ©nage n’est pas un problĂšme pour nous et cela n’a pas eu d’influence sur la qualitĂ© de notre sĂ©jour mais il faut savoir oĂč on met les pieds. Belle adresse pour les amoureux de nature, proche des beautĂ©s de la GaspĂ©sie. NB : pour ceux qui cherchent de quoi laver leur linge, il existe une laverie automatique Ă  GaspĂ©, a l’universitĂ© CEGEP, dans le bĂątiment d’accueil Ă  droite du bĂątiment principal (quand on fait face Ă  ce dernier). Elle est publique, coĂ»te 1,5$ par machine et il n’y a pas de lessive disponible sur place il faut amener la sienne.
