Room was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Staff cleaned my room every day during my stay. The breakfast was great. Biscuits,gravy, eggs, sausage and bacon. Waffles, cereal, muffins, coffee,milk and juice. All staff I encountered was very helpful, professional and friendly. Doesn't matter how old the hotel is, cleanliness, caring staff, I definitely will stay there anytime I visit Gatlinburg.

The view of the river is great, hotel needs some updates. Staff this time around NOT very friendly and they don't answer the front desk phone (tried 3X) parking is very tight and the indoor pool area needs a deep cleaning, would not use in current condition!

I am rating this facilities poorly because we located mold growing in our room. After speaking with over-night staff, they told me no other rooms were available and they would not be able to move us to a habitable room until they spoke with their manager in the morning. I filed a report with the hotel main office over-night. After staying in the room, both my wife and I woke up with rather severe coughs and my wife was overcome with anxiety. I spoke with the on-site manager in the morning who stated she could move me to a new room and get me a 25% refund for 1 night. (we were booked for 4 nights and stayed in the mold room for 2 nights during this stay). After receiving the new room, the front desk staff was passive-aggressive for the duration of our stay. Additionally, in both rooms, the shower made a high-pitched sound which caused me a severe headache. The on-site heated pool was only lukewarm on the surface and cold at the bottom. The on-site sauna was out-of-order during the duration of our stay. The on-site breakfast was great and the breakfast staff was nice and pleasant.
