Very convenient to all attractions, shopping, and dining. Beds were very comfortable. Staff is very friendly. Room need to be updated and some repairs needed. Overall a great place to stay and enjoy. Didn’t like the long high hill to climb at our location at the hotel. But you could go 1 block down the street and park at main entrance. Breakfast was good standard breakfast. Best place to stay to see bears. We had a balcony room that overlooks the parking lot and we seen 2 bears both nights. 😊

The floors were dirty, there is a big gap under the door so the light and noise does not get blocked at all, the door to the room and balcony have not been wiped down in a very long time they were very dirty, I wiped them down myself and the wipe was filthy. Bed was comfortable, good location if you want to walk the strip. We did get a bear visiting the parking lot twice during our stay which was pretty cool to see, so when they say no food in the car make sure you listen. Breakfast was ok but it was free. The hotel needs a lot of attention.

I’ve actually never done this in my life I honestly want a refund. The staff was horrifically rude and nasty, uninformative about anything in the area and booking a room sake was a be quiet,really uncomfortable exchange. There was mold throughout the room and all in the fridge, and there was a disgusting stained and wet towel under the fridge and used cleaning towels about the room. It smelled like pee. We used the restroom only and then left without spending more than 20 minutes there. I did not even bother to try to get a refund or another room as I didn’t want to speak with the girl at the desk again. We just left and got another hotel.

Liked that it was in walking distance to everything. Disappointed that the pool is advertised as heated but it was freezing cold. Tv did not work and the front desk was no help. Gave a phone number to call that was disconnected. The floors were nasty like they were never mopped. Shower curtain was also like it was cut in half so the floor flooded while showering.

There are a few positives to note: the motel is creekside and within walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg, which is super convenient. The price is reasonable for the location, and we even saw bears in the parking lot—which was a really unique experience. That said, the stay itself was disappointing. The “updates” throughout the room and property look like they were done by a weekend handyman, not professionals. My room had very low water pressure, no soap, and no trash can. Several other rooms also had no closets or storage space for clothes. The TV remote didn’t work; we were given batteries by the office to try, but when that didn’t help, they just said we’d have to change channels by hand. There was a ceiling fan in the room, but only the light worked—the fan didn’t. The bathtub and jetted tub had clearly been resurfaced, but the finish felt like sandpaper—very rough and uncomfortable to stand or sit on. While the sheets and bedding appeared clean, the rest of the room was dusty and had spiders and cobwebs in almost every corner. They do advertise a free breakfast, but it consisted of a questionable sausage link and eggs with the consistency of grits, but I cannot complain about the biscuits and gravy. The “heated pool” was also freezing cold. The location is great, but the experience was lacking for our stay. Affordable if you plan on spending limited time in your room or at the pool.

Great location

Room was clean and close to to main strip. We saw a bear in the parking lot!! The creek side was nice as well. Shower pressure was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. The A/C worked very well. Would definitely recommend. Friendly staff.

We really enjoyed the close proximity of this motel to top notch restaurants, and the creek was beautiful and serene. The breakfast was great, and the pool was clean. There was a great park area behind the pet friendly rooms that was ideal for walking our pet. However, It was extremely difficult communicating with the hotel housekeeping staff. Their limited English created a difficult situation. After I had told them that we were fine and didn't need anything, they still knocked on our door & interrupted my daughter while she was on an important work-related conference call. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

The mold on the ceiling in room and bathroom. Also on the lamp shades. We were exhausted. Went to sleep and woke up to see it. My partner he was sick after and we cut our trip short. Good location. Hilltop building was eh.

Somehow I was booked at the Hilltop building which is up a super steep hill. With limited mobility, super hot temperatures and high humidity, and an evening of drinking in Gatlinburg…the walk back up to the room was challenging. I wish I had known beforehand and I would’ve changed my reservation. I had made plans to walk next door to a coffee shop and a brewery but I was thinking I was staying at the other side of the property. We had to get back into traffic to fight our way over to the Hilltop building. Yes there was a balcony but the view was just looking over the air conditioning units of other buildings. The bed was uncomfortable. My back was sore both mornings.
