I pre booked online and planned a quick few day stay with my child with special needs and her service animal to travel. When I searched beforehand I was given a list of hotels in the Blackhawk, CO area that were pet friendly. After booking I messaged the hotel immediately to inform them of an early check in. However that was not the case when we arrived because front desk staff was rude and said that it was against their policy to have us with our animal without being charged an additional $250 a night, though it state clearly that policy was not on Hotels.com? They kicked us out without any other travel options or WiFi service for us being up high on the mountain. I needed to take a detour bc nothing was available on the spot up there. This was major expense and inconvenience. This was also very stressful to my health and on the animal and child.

Great service, clean and pleasant hotel. Jess checked us in, she was wonderful, put smiles on our faces after a long and exhausting day of traveling. Ryan was great too. So thanks to Jess, Ryan and pretty much all the team members we interacted with. We had a pleasant stay.

Nice staff and lovely rooms!

I have stayed at the Ameristar a few times and wasn’t impressed with the staff but this time everything was on point. Rooms are still comfortable and spacious, nice spa and fitness center and the staff knocked it out of the park! Nice to see the changes and I will be back!!!
