Good for the price

Georgetown Lodge was what we were looking for price wise. We didn’t want to spend a small fortune on a room. The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were not the greatest either. The tv had access to anything you could want to watch. When it was time for breakfast it was the standard continental spread.

Nothing fancy

It’s a decent hotel with convenient access to the highway. We stayed here 2 years ago and could tell that they had upgraded the beds, pillows, and sheets. The woman that checked us in was very friendly and struck up a good conversation.

I should’ve listened to the reviews! The room was so stinky that I couldn’t sleep. I was afraid to walk around without shoes on because the dated carpet smell and look. We went to the jacuzzi, and it looked and smelled like a toilet we walked right back out. We left before the sun came up. The lady who checked us in was nice and helpful.

Disappointment with the Georgetown Lodge

Breakfast was simply sugary items; coffee wasn’t available @ 6:15 to 6:30, and no attendant to ask to refill them on Saturday morning. In fact, your attendant wasn’t at the desk either on Friday @ 3:00 PM for check-in, and hence I had the obligation to call the number on the counter when the attendant was in the office next door. The room was spartan at best. The hot water would scald any flesh that would cross the water flow. The photo to the left does not reflect the atmosphere of the room when I frequented it on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. I didn’t find any breakfast items worthwhile, so I went elsewhere. I don’t think I’ll return to the Georgetown Lodge on a future trip to the town.

For an overnight stay it was exactly what we needed. Unfortunately, I am allergic to cigarette smoke and the nonsmoking room smelled of cigarettes. The walls were paper thin and the room next door was noisy. But the lady at check in was very kind and breakfast was good.

The reviews made us hesitate our decision to stay here but much to our surprise, we thought it was great! We needed a budget friendly place to stay. The room was clean, the staff was so sweet & the breakfast was good. The location is perfect!!! We walked everywhere. I was told they have new management and they are making several improvements. We prefer to stay at mom and pop hotels and we don’t expect perfection. Thank you Georgetown Lodge for a great stay!

Not so good.

Property is old with few amenities. Mattress was comfortable but there was no top sheet. Toilet needed a plunger twice in one night. Children ran and were noisy on the second level boardwalk late at night (11:00pm) and early in the morning (7:00am). Breakfast was meager. Manager was friendly.

Great Stay!

Our stay was really good! The hotel was quiet even though it was completely booked . The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was nice with lots of options: juive, coffee, tea, delicious waffles, muffins, granola bars... There are a lot of restaurants nearby within walking distance. We enjoyed the hot tub as well!
