This hotel is very centrally located. The hotel is across the street from Placa de la Independencia and walking distance to all sites that Girona has to offer (unless I missed some of them).
We were walking distance to the metro (which was great because we arrived via train from Madrid, went to and from Figueres and went to Barcelona all walking distance to the hotel).
The hotel is under renovation which didn't affect us but the lobby was a little sad and unwelcoming (as it virtually did not exist) but despite the entrance the rest of the hotel is very decent with a nice patio with great views. Our room was on the 7th floor and we had a nice view. The lavabo in our room had old charm to it.
The buffet is really nice but unfortunately I didn't have much of an appetite that day to eat my money's worth and I'm still thinking about all the foods that I wanted to try but didn't get to.
Girona in itself was a lot nicer than I had expected and two nights were sufficient here.
I don't know how I missed it but this hotel was a lot more expensive than I thought, perhaps when I booked I went off the Euro price (but it came to $200+CAN/ night), but for the short time we stayed here I suppose it was worth it to have the hotel so centrally located and we didn't have to pay for metro/ taxis as it is very walkable.
