Great hotel, noisy guests

Very nice hotel and perfectly located within walking distance to the city centre and Kelvingrove Park. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, with plenty storage and the microwave and a mini fridge was a plus. There were just a few small stains in the carpet, but overall the room was very clean. The beds were very comfortable, with a choice of soft and firm pillows. The bathroom was very clean and ample. The pressure in the shower was fair. There were two choices of shampoo but no body wash or hair conditioner, but that was just a very minor inconvenience. Unfortunately, we had very noisy neighbours on our second night, constantly banging the doors from approximately 22:00. I politely asked the guests to hold the doors when closing them to no avail. The staff tried to sort it out, but the door banging continued till nearly midnight. The doors are heavy and will bang if they are not held to shut. I can only suggest a note in big font is put on the doors, politely asking guests to be courteous, and hold the doors when closing them.

Staff where all lovely and accommodating Area is really convenient and a short walk to the city centre Carpets are covered in stains in the room - walls where dirty. Bed really hurt both mine and my partners back. Bathroom was clean, shower is large. Breakfasts where good option to add a latte

We stayed overnight for my birthday, on arrival they gave us a bottle of Prosecco which I thought was so nice! We stayed in the penthouse suite so the view was amazing with a wrap round balcony! The rooms are big and the bed is so comfy! Definitely will be back

Terrible stay. The room was filthy. A room on the penthouse floor. Dust thick on the wardrobes, surfaces and even the coat hangers! No air conditioning and the room was roasting. Arrived back at the hotel at 10:40pm to be told the bar was closed and to go to reception for a drink. No apology offered. At reception there were minimal drinks on offer and no glasses! I was offered a champagne glass to pour in a can of strawberry gin! Shocking. Do not stay here!

We had a nice overnight stay here after traveling from the US. We were recommended by the front staff to eat at The Butterfly and the Pig. We were met with traditional music and great food. It was a perfect start to the trip.

I’m an American and found everything very good except no air conditioning and no top sheet for the bed — it was too hot for the duvet but a light sheet would have been nice as the night cooled. Also, I had to climb on the chair to retrieve the fan which was exceeding dusty. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great and those were the two things I needed most

The hotel was absolutely amazing and the staff was lovely. The room was perfect. The coffee machine at the entrance was a lovely touch and tasted great. So much of the machines taste yuck but for £1 coffee was excellent value. Would 100% go back. I have MS so would have preferred to be closer to shops but thats because my walking isnt great. For those who dont have mobility issues its within walking distance of so much places. But ubers were super fast picking us up so it wasnt an issue. And if you have a family or like more room with room with kitchenette, sofa (sofa bed) more single chair, a long area with huge mirror that lit up was great for doing makeup or if you wanted to do some work. Fab hotel
