This is a beautiful place. The room and bathroom were enormous and the back French door opened onto a lush lawn and garden in full bloom. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. This would be a great base camp for exploring the Kingdom of Fife to its fullest.

This property looks much nicer in the photos. It could definitely use a fresh coat of paint and clean carpet. The staff were very friendly and helpful though. The stay was acceptable and it was a fair price.

Bright lights coming on outside during the night and shining in the windows and under the doors of the family room area. As well as noise from equipment. Children were constantly being awakened. Hotel knew how many breakfasts were booked under the same same name, yet when we showed up in the morning we were treated like an inconvenience. Staff did not want to even give us a butter knife for toast already on the kids place until they were ready to set the table. We were told the toast to accompany our full breakfast was being prepared in the kitchen, but it never arrived. Bar staff were slow and made errors. The staff requires training to better focus on the guests and the experience. This is such a beautiful location. Best Western needs to improve the outside housekeeping. Looks likes plant pots full of dead plants all around the property. Having a pool was a draw to us booking this location, but it closes at 6pm and so the last swim time is 5:15. I suggest 9pm would be more appropriate. We travel a lot and this is the first time I have ever given such negative comments on Expedia. This is such a beautiful location and it wouldn’t take much to make this a superior experience. Best Western needs to improve the management by investing in training and looking at things through the eyes of the guests. It’s not complicated.

This was a beautiful hotel with excellent dining at the restaurant! The service was excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The surrounding grounds were beautiful.

Appalling service

So if you book a specific room and prepay then it would be reasonable to expect that room! Oh no if you check in late you get what's left! Staff are Clueless, no idea how to run an hotel. Room not cleaned and serviced everyday, even the most basic of things neglected. This could be such a nice hotel, it's in a beautiful place, but it's so badly run by incompetent staff The only up point is the kitchen staff know what they are doing and make excellent food. Get a decent manager and staff and this could be a gem. As it stands I wouldn't send a desperate homeless person here.

Better than expected!!

Lovely welcome, lovely room and bathroom. We were upgraded, to a kingside (which was 2 single beds together- bump at the join). We used the pool, sauna and steam room, very clean and not busy. Quiet location. Excellent value for money in comparison to similar hotels in the fine area.
