Gîte de Chapelèche "Les Châtaigniers"

The gite of Chapelèche "Les châtaigniers" can accommodate up to 7 people.
It has 3 bedrooms: a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with another double bed and a third bedroom with two single beds. You can also sleep in the sofa bed located in the library area.

The gite of Chapelèche "Les châtaigniers" is located on a southern slope, at 710 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park. Magnificent view overlooking the wild Glueyre valley, where you can swim, in natural "pools" carved in granite.
The cottage is located in the middle of a chestnut forest over 200 years old, cultivated in terraces.
Constituting a wing of the owner 's stone house, it benefits from an independent entrance.
The only permanent resident of the hamlet is the owner.
Access to the Chapelèche gîte via a tarmac communal road with no exit: the Chapelèche gîte is away from all road traffic. Peace and tranquility are assured.
All the space around the gîte is free to access.
Preserved in the Departmental Archives of Drôme, a document made up of 6 sewn goat skins, and written in Latin by the Lord of Marette attests to the existence of the house of Chapelèche in ... 1342!
In 1981, it was in ruins. We have patiently restored it since, and, in its architecture, it combines modernism and tradition of Ardèche farms.
Now, you can stay there in complete comfort, enjoying the magnificent view and the large, very convivial space library / fireplace / living room / dining room / American kitchen.

Possibility of grilling in the fireplace (wood supplied from the nearby chestnut forest). Internet access (Wi-Fi). TV and DVD player. Lots of books and magazines, games.
Central heating is provided by a wood boiler (supplied by us).
Outdoor terrace provided by a railing, shaded by a kiwi, facing south (table, chairs and lounge chairs).
The hot water comes from solar collectors in thermosiphon located under the terrace.
Tap water comes from a private source collected 300 meters above the house.

At the end of your stay, if you do not wish to clean, a cleaning fee of 50 Euros will be payable on site.
The cost of the stay of an animal (cat or dog) for a week is 50 Euros (to be paid on site, at the end of your stay).
If you want us to operate the central heating with wood (daily supply provided by us), the cost is 10 Euros per day of heating (to be paid on site, at the end of your stay).
A rental contract will be sent: it will contain the detailed description of the gîte, the rental conditions, a map and a route to the hamlet, advice for your stay and tourist information with links.
The cottage is open all year, weekly rentals.
