Die Windpomp Guesthouse
A true gem in the desert.
5 / 5
This was simply perfect. We had been roaming Africa for 2 months on a motorcycle when we showed up in Gobabis exhausted. On our Africa journey, we stayed at many different accommodation, from the guesthouse in a small village in Tanzania to the world renowned big hotel chain. Our room at the Windpomp Guesthouse was BY FAR the best hotel room we stayed in. Period. We had the luxury room and it was simply perfection. The room was big and the bathroom was larger than the room we had in the previous town. The staff was awesome and always happy to talk to the crazy Canadians on the motorcycle. Breakfast was very good. The hotel did not have a restaurant when we were there, but there is plenty of good ones around the corner. A true gem in the Namibian desert.
