Car elevator

My 1st experience with a car elevator. I was really impressed by their ecofriendlness, NO plastic, even the room key was made of wood. Everyone was extremely friendly & helped me find a guide for Alhambra.

We had a junior suite on the second floor at the front of the hotel with a view of the Cathedral. We arrived on a Saturday and Granada was busy. There were lots of people in the bars and there were quite a few stag and hen parties. That night the noise in our room caused by people walking by in the narrow street next to the hotel was loud with lots of shouting. This continued until 7 in the morning! Sunday night was much better but on Monday morning we were woken at 7.30 by the noise of power tools from the building next door which is being renovated! And to top it off the taxi we had pre booked at the check in took us to Granada airport rather than Malaga despite us telling the staff at least two times when booking it! So the room and hotel were lovely but the stay was spoiled by these things which the hotel doesn’t have a lot of control over. My advice is to not pick the rooms at the front of the hotel if you are staying on a Friday or Saturday unless you don’t mind the noise!

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and quiet. Bed was very comfy and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location- walkable to everything with great cafes and a grocery store just up the street. Only complaint is breakfast. We ate at the hotel one morning since we had an early departure and the breakfast was extremely overpriced for what was offered. Would highly recommend walking a block to one of the many restaurants available. Other than that the stay was great.

Aurea Catedral is a beautiful property that is centrally located & within walking distance to all the major sites of Granada. Parking was fun with the use of their car elevator which took you to their underground parking. Our room was large , comfortable, had an amazing view of the cathedral & we enjoyed the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in our room. We would highly recommend this hotel.

In the heart of the city, very central and good quality hotel. The 20€ breakfast was not good value for money, one cereal choice and just white or whole meal bread for toasting, but if you like cold meats or cooked then more choice but we don’t eat that first thing. Parking was a little more than quoted on the Expedia website. Otherwise very clean, comfortable and central so would recommend for a city stay.

Great location,but building being gutted next door

Great location next to the cathedral. Standard rooms were modern & boxy & a lot seem to face inwards, meaning no view, but quiet. Interesting covered ruins in the inner area. Had to queue for 20 mins to check in & another 15 mins for a query at reception. No queue to check out thankfully. Breakfast was good. There was a lot of noise from the building work going on next door, but not a problem at night.

The Aurea Catedral is a stunning hotel directly adjacent to the Granada Catedral. The space is peaceful, the rooms are incredibly quiet and comfortable, and the staff are very warm and helpful

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel! The location is excellent, right next to the church, with shopping stores and restaurants nearby. It is easy to reach Granada’s famous palace either by walking or taking a short ride. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in solving any issues. I also appreciated the complimentary drinks available in the lobby. The breakfast had a good variety of options, but the hot dishes were not warm enough, which could be improved. Additionally, I would have preferred a higher-floor room for a better view. Another small issue was that the wardrobe light couldn’t be completely turned off, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, despite these minor drawbacks, I enjoyed my stay and would still recommend this hotel for its great location and friendly service!
