Check in was simple. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room is very nice. The wooden furniture is something that we, personally, love. Family owned business and you can see the family is trying to keep up with everything …about 25 minutes from the Grand Canyon…. I just think it’s wonderful!!! Also, the food in the restaurant was delicious and a very large serving.

Not a place I would start again
First negative was the greeting. I like talking to people that are there. The person checking you in here is someplace in India. There is no one at the hotel to help you regarding your stay. After I got my key, I poked my head in and talked to the woman behind what used to be the counter and she could not answer anything. She did speak English, but generally acted dumb. The grounds looked like they have not been mowed or maintained in a while. The coffee maker was broken.

Pretty good place for the money. If you're planning to go to Grand Canyon early in the morning, this place is just 30 minutes away from the visitor center parking. Nothing much around the hotel apart from an on-premises restaurant and a gas station, so plan ahead if you are arriving late.
