We absolutely loved staying here! My kids loved waking up and going straight to fishing and having a huge yard to play in. This house was absolutely beautiful and definitely set up for familys. We were close enough to town but still far enough away to enjoy deer coming in to eat apples off of the trees.

This was such an amazing trip for our family, we definitely made a lot of great memories. There was so much to do right on the property and we found that we way over packed because they had everything from floaters, sand toys, life jackets and kayaks. The house was fully stocked with an array of different necessities. The furniture was clean and comfortable and with 10 of us there the entire week we never felt like we needed more space. The out side property was equally as spacious and we really appreciated the private beach area. We also loved the sauna. Our family hopes to return next summer! I would encourage any large families to utilize this property seriously all ages will find something to do. Also,Grand Rapids is only 10 minutes away and has all the stores, restaurants and breweries right there. We loved the Forest History Center they even have a children’s museum.

This is our second visit using this VRBO house. The house is great! We spent a lot of time with family as we said goodbye to my Father. The house was large and allowed space for family to come visit us. I would stay again on our next trip.

Loon Unit - Best Place Ever!!
We had a fantastic experience and highly recommend this wonderful house!
Excellent communication from the owner (Katherine) and property mgr (Tim) started our vacation off on the right track. They are both super helpful.
This house was perfect for our large family (10+) gathering. For anyone wanting/needing a FULL kitchen, this is the place you want to rent. Meals can be stressful & expensive for large groups. The kitchen layout is a cooks dream and it had everything to make meals fun and easy. So nice to have a stocked pantry of spices, herbs and basic staples. I even baked cookies!
The house is spacious and furnishings comfortable. The basement is on the cooler side which worked out perfect for our warm sleepers and the bunk beds are cozy. Note there is only 2 queen beds in the house, the rest are twins but there's a lot of room to spread out. This is crucial when you have a lot of guests. The wi-fi also worked great for those who have to stay connected!
Easy access to the lake and the amenities are very nice. We used the fishing boat, kayaks and fire pit. Hope to use the sauna and sail boat next time. I miss the falls in MN and this property highlighted it all, the trees and surroundings were spectacular.
This is truly a 'home' and you can tell it's lived in and loved. It's comfortable, warm and inviting. Don't expect perfection and you will not be disappointed with your choice! Happy vacationing!

Family gathering
We enjoyed spending time at this home. My sister has always wanted to live at a lake and she will be 87 in October so we rented this home by the lake. We spent a lot of time sitting by the lake and enjoying the view and the great weather. Many relatives live in the area so it was a great time to get to know each other once again. The home was comfortable and we enjoyed our visit to the lake.

Lovely lake
Great cabin. The place was amazing. Large and exactly like the photos. Huge yard with tons of space for lawn games. We brought volleyball, corn hole, soccer and bocce ball. Dock was great for boat we rented. Small sand area fun for the kids. Only bummer was all the weeds off dock- kids would not swim there. We just took boat out to middle of lake and anchored and swam which worked just fine. This was a great place for 2 families/ 10 people total.
Bonus was the raspberry bushes were ripe and the kids loved it! Would highly recommend!

This is a beautiful home in a private lake setting. We enjoyed campfires by the lake, sitting on the dock in the morning, and the sauna at night. It’s located a quiet lake so we were able to anchor the boats and float peacefully on our Maui mat. The home itself is spacious, clean, and well stocked. Close to Grand Rapids and Tioga Recreation Area. Serene and peaceful!

Great Family get together on Loon Lake
My husband, our two sons, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren stayed a week. The house was clean and spacious. The kitchen was especially good. We cooked all our meals there and had every tool we needed. My DIL was thrilled with how kid friendly the house was. My grandchildren loved the yard and the water. We took them out in the kayaks several times. The lake is very quiet and not very populated. We were able to kayak over to where some loons were nesting. Wonderful.
