For a hotel that costs what it does it would have been nice if the microwave worked and the remote to the TV. The staff that was tending to the Continental breakfast was not friendly to myself or my children. They had no cereal or milk for the breakfast. The pool smelled like someone was smoking in the pool area.

Power and water went out which took down Direct TV and WiFi. Front desk wouldn’t answer phone. Went to go to front desk, and hall was completely dark. Used light on my phone to go to desk and was treated rudely for asking questions.

The bath tub needed scrubbed. It was black from being used over the years. There were big spiders in the corners of the ceilings. The balcony was covered with dead insects and spider webs and the cleaning people came and remade our bed and when we returned to our room in the evening our door was open.

The water park was a fun option for kids and mine really enjoyed it. The front desk staff were very kind and welcoming. There is a restaurant attached and the food was good and it was convenient to have right on site.

It was nice that the property is right on Houghton Lake with a pretty lawn out back. The room was clean and comfortable and all staff I encountered very pleasant. Balcony was not clean--lots of dead bugs, cobwebs. It was a nice place to sit but there was a large group on the lawn under the balcony playing loud music on an outdoor speaker for HOURS.

Very clean and smelled clean, good job housekeeping. The hotel and restaurant were understaffed but the ones working were really stepping up. Overall it was a great stay and I would stay here again in the future.
