This property is set in Gretna Green, a town famous for runaway marriages. It is a 2 minute walk from the train station, close to hotels/restaurants and a 5 minute walk from the blacksmiths shop.

The property itself is best suited for a large family or 2 families sharing. It has a large kitchen dining room with access to the large garden via bifold doors where there is rattan furniture, BBQ, in ground trampoline and hot tub. There is a snug area off the kitchen and a cosy living room with a wood burner. Underfloor heating is throughout the ground floor. The 2 main bathrooms are very spacious with one having a walk in shower and the other having a shower and a bath with a TV.
4 bedrooms (2 have en-suites). All bedrooms, snug and living room have SMART TV's with netflix. Sky and Sky Sports in living room TV.

Would highly recommend this accommodation. Everything was perfect. Very easy check in process, the host had thought of everything, the accommodation was spotlessly clean. The accommodation was of very high standard and very comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen and hot tub was fantastic and very private. We had a great weekend and will be booking this again to return in the summer. Very satisfied customer. Thank you

An absolutely brilliant house with so much space and excellent accommodation. Fab hot tub and garden

We had a wonderful 3 night stay. Tracey was amazing, her attention to detail was really appreciated. The house was really well placed to visit some of the local attractions nearby. We had a party of 7, including kids and adults, and everyone had a really relaxing, fun break in Ancrum House. The hot tub was great and the house had everything we needed.

Perfect in every way

Beautiful, spacious house. Immaculate condition. Really well equipped with everything you could need. Nothing was too much trouble for the host and the little extra touches were the cherry on top. Highly recommend.

Really wish I could give you more than 5*

What can I say. From the moment of booking, Tracey has been amazing. Communication is 10/10 even with the moving of our stay due to covid, there were no issues. Upon arrival, the house was spotless and I mean spotless. Fresh, clean, decor was flawless. Tracey explained how the hot tub worked, what items we had in the house and showed us how to work the heating. An array of information was provided in a booklet and was a much needed help! Communication over the stay was amazing, Tracey came daily to check the hot tub had the right chemicals and was working correctly, she cleared leaves, moved rubbish and asked if we needed any new towels or bedding. We even broke plates and a cup, again this was no issue and they were replaced the next day with no issue. Honestly this house is a little gem. Tracey Tou should be massively proud of the Ancrum house... It's the house of dreams! I could go on, but if anyone reading this is thinking of booking a stay, don't think just do it! We will be back!

Great Stay, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

We had a fabulous stay at Ancrum House, the house is stunning and the most perfect house for a lovely get together with family or friends. Great location if you’re attending a wedding at Gretna, literally 3 minute walk from the house!! We mostly stayed in and cooked making the most of the house and the hot tub! The hot tub was a top of the range hot tub and Tracey checked it every day. The house was Absolutely immaculate and everything in it is well thought out and user friendly. Thanks again for a great stay and your friendliness in all our dealings with you, most appreciated.
