Subject: Request for Full Refund Due to Misrepresentation and Unacceptable Conditions
I am writing to formally request a full refund for my recent booking at the Yuebei Hotel. Upon arrival, it became immediately clear that the hotel conditions were completely misrepresented online and were not suitable for occupancy.
First, the building has no elevator, requiring guests to climb several flights of stairs. This was not disclosed on the website. My husband has a leg condition and was physically unable to walk up the stairs, making it impossible for us to check in.
Additionally, the cleanliness and safety standards were unacceptable. The carpets throughout the property were extremely dirty and emitted a strong odor. Several bags of garbage were left unattended in the lobby, and the hallways had no lighting, creating an unsafe environment.
The bathroom facilities were also inadequate. There was only a showerhead with no shower enclosure, causing water to flood the entire washroom floor. This setup is very primitive, far below reasonable accommodation standards.
Inside the room, the carpet was again filthy and smelled unpleasant. The air conditioner barely functioned, producing almost no cool air.
Due to these issues, we were unable to stay at the hotel. I was forced to book another hotel across the street at a significantly higher walk in rate, resulting in additional and unnecessary expenses.
