Good hotel close to lake and restaurants and shopp

Nice hotel and a highlight was the very extensive breakfast menu.A strange disappointment was a loud clunking noise intruding our nights from the service lifts nearby.I am surprised a reputed hotel can allow this!

Nice enough hotel close to main strip of shops

Pros: Location
Location: Shops
Only stayed here a night before the tour down the river but the hotel was perfectly fine. Some staff spoke enough english to get by. Breakfast was standard buffet style, mix of western and eastern foods.

Pros: Fantastic location and lovely decor
Cons: Service is somewhat lacking. Ok for speakers of mandarin but I imagine difficult for non-speakers as few staff speak good english.
