We stayed at this hotel, having experienced the hotel chain in Castelo. It was a similar standard but not quite as good. Room and bathroom was smaller, breakfast room smaller, possibility an older property. Still comfortable room and bed and good value for money, a 15 minute walk into tbe centre

Fizemos a reserva pela expedia onde não falava em nenhum lugar que só pode 1 pet no quarto. Chegando com os nossos 2 pequenos tivemos que pagar por outro quarto. Isso que a da recepção Gabriela T não pediu desculpas, não tentou dar desconto, não tentou fazer nada a não ser tentar me mostrar onde dizia 1 pet apenas. Claro que não encontrou nem na expedia e nem na página website deles. Justo não fiquei no hotel Ibis porque lá dizia que só 1 pet. Como estávamos cansados de dirigir o dia inteiro paguei pelo outro quarto. Chegamos a tarde e percebemos que ela estava trabalhando a noite e de manhã cedo já estava lá. Ou seja ela está cansada e acho que por isso não teve nenhuma empatia com a nossa situação, sendo que o erro é deles. Não recomendo. A única coisa boa desse hotel foi o delicioso café da manhã no Manas café do outro lado do hotel.

Dark hallways, like a dungeon

At check in, the person confirmed three nights but only put one night on the door card. Returned day two, could not get in had to have the card reprogrammed. Hallway lightning (at floor level) is atrocious; once you're using LED lights skimping on them is not necessary. Property owners are either cheap or have no sense: maybe both.

Overall, I believe this is a high-value hotel to stay at in Guimarães. However, I had an issue during my stay. I checked out early in the morning and forgot to rebook an extra night. When I returned in the evening, I was charged double the rate—approximately US$112. The front desk explained that the rate had increased due to the weekend, and I accepted their reasoning and respected the hotel’s policy. That said, I later checked the rate on Expedia, and it appeared to be only $57 for that night. I found this discrepancy a bit strange and thought it was worth mentioning.

Terrible noise during the night

The hotel looks nice and well organised. Breakfast was tasty and rich. However the noise from the room above us was terrible since some kids had birthday party the half of the night. The receptionist made intervention twice and even offered another room. Her intervention was succesfull. Thanks again. Summarised, the hotel has terrible or no noise isolation and I would not chose it again.

We truly enjoyed this new hotel for the low price we paid. The rooms are ultra modern but very compact. Not much space to set things down. AC was efficient and quiet. 15 min walk to castle/palace. Then another half min walk to historic core and restaurants.

Our room was clean, the air-conditioning worked great, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was great. This hotel is close to everything, so no need to drive. We walked everywhere. Only problem we had is we drive by it without even seeing it. Once we turned around and really looked we found it. Definitely would stay here again!
