The room was damp feeling and smelled bad from the moment we walked in. We even bought an air freshener to place by the a/c to see if that would help cover the musty smell, but it didn't. The hallway stunk too. I killed one roach in the room. The area right in front of the shower (grout I guess you'd call it) looked like it had never been mopped or wiped down. There was a lot of dirt in that area. The dirt in the grout was manageable, but the smell of the room alone is enough to make me avoid ever booking with America's Best Value Inn & Suites again. There was also a random cat roaming the hallway outside our room.

I had a disappointing experience during my recent stay at Americas Best Inn & Suites in Gulf Shores Foley, Alabama. Although I had paid in full online, I was unexpectedly charged an additional $50 fee upon check-in, which was not communicated beforehand. Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed cleanliness issues. There were visible grease or oil fingerprints on the headboard, crumbs on the floor, and a penny next to the bed—clear signs that the floor hadn't been vacuumed. The shower had a used bar of soap and a strand of hair, indicating it had not been properly cleaned either.I reported these concerns to the front desk, and the staff member contacted the manager. I requested clean bed linens, towels, and pillows, but was told to wait for someone from housekeeping. It took over an hour before two individuals came to address the issues. While one person cleaned the headboard, the other initially questioned my request for fresh bedding, which made me uncomfortable. Eventually, the linen was changed and the used soap was removed, but I did not see the shower being cleaned—so I ended up cleaning it myself.When we returned from dinner, I noticed the penny had been picked up, but crumbs were still present on the floor. While the staff did address some of the issues, the overall lack of cleanliness and professionalism left me very dissatisfied with my stay. I would not recommend this hotel and will likely choose a different place in the future.

They charged me for 4 days and I only stayed 3. I checked out a day early due to weather and they said it was a package deal which it wasn't and wouldn't refund my 4th night which was over $115.. SO NOT RIGHT

Only thing I didn’t like was that the bathroom fan stays on constantly when it suppose to be an option to turn it off. Also I reserved the room on March 29th and agreed to pay at the property once I arrive, but they took the money 11 hours before I even arrived to get the room not knowing if I was still coming

I really liked the location of this hotel because it's located near a lot of the attractions that my family & I visited.The rooms were very nice & clean.There were lots of places to dine in close proximity.We had the option to drive or walk.That was a plus for us!The few complaints I had about the room itself is the fan & light in the bathroom.As long as the light was on,the fan remained running as well.That was kind of annoying.There was also no clock in the room.Also,my daughter & I booked our rooms like 2 weeks in advance on Expedia.When booking,the option we chose was to pay at property.The both of us woke up the morning of our trip to find that the full balamce of our stay had already been taken out of our accounts. That has never happened before with any of my bookings.Also my daughter's notice was saying that her room had been canceled for some reason!So of course she called the hotel to check on the situation & didn’t get much help at all.She was told that her reservation had been cancelled.She explained that she did NOT cancel the reservation & explained that the money for the stay had already been taken & not refunded.Needless to say,this almost caused my daughter to get upset & really didn’t want to come on the trip.Once we arrived,she was then informed that a mistake had been made by the system showing that 2 reservations had been made under her name(which it wasn't)so one had been cancelled.She should have been imformed about the mistake prior to our arrival!!

The property itself is in good condition.Our room was not very clean, in the corners of the bathroom floor there was dirt, dust and hair. The room had a very strong musty smell. The fitted sheet and top of one of the beds were stained. We also found some kind of wrappers in between the sheets.The service and staff was very attentive and kind.
