Very quiet area. Take a bus down to the lake to go for a hike or chill. Not much at the nearest marina but you can walk to Main Marina where all the ships and people visit for great pictures.

Excelent staff, going above and beyond to help and provide everything guests need. Super friendly and approachable. The facility is on the bus line to the lake and to the topelines so it is very convenient as well. Plus private daily onsen. You cant beat that!

Onsen was excellent. But they only have private onsen outdoors. No extra onsen. We loved how it was close to Lake Ashi, but if that's not the only place you are going... transportaiton may become a problem. This location is more than 50 bus stops from the train station. You pass all of the local areas and stores. This location has strong Onsen smell, and our room had a broken faucet... It was okay but we will not use this location for our next visit. Dining option is only at this hotel as you can't find anyting near by, and although their food was good, it seemed expensive for what you get. But again, perfect for a short 2-day trip of Lake Ashi and ropeway and some time in Onsen. That's all we did and could do as it was very cold and snowing when we visited.

The water had a wierd smell, the onsen was boiling hot to the point where we couldn't tolerate it, and the food was not good. All 3 of us got food poisoning from the "traditional Japanese breakfast " they served

Great staff: we reached very late at night. The manager was kind enough to extend our onsen reservation for half hour without us asking. He stayed well past the midnight to make sure our onsen experience is complete! We are so grateful to him. Moreover, the facility is much nicer than we expected: Large lobby and living facilities, great decor and the private onsen is out of this world!

Our stay was great, it was a beautiful and quiet place. The Onsen itself was perfect. I think the only downside was the food was just ok. We were expecting more food options in the area, but when we realized there wasn’t anything close by, we ate at the hotel, and the food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. The breakfast was decent and they give you a lot of food. The dinner though, I’m pretty sure the pizza I had was microwaved. The staff were great and were very nice. We will probably stay here again in the future.

The accommodations are equally impressive, with traditional Japanese room aesthetics. Tatami mats, and futons create an authentic yet luxurious ambiance. The dining experience is another standout feature. The traditional Japanese breakfast and options for dinner showcase fresh local ingredients. The hotel is conveniently located near the the Hakone Ropeway - Togendai Station as well as the Hakone Shrine. Guests can take the ropeway to Owakudani to experience the famous view of Mt. Fuji, hot spring boiled black eggs and souvenir shops, or go further into nearby town Gora where there are many shops and museums. It is also located near Hakone-en, where there is snow sledding and an aquarium for family fun. There is also another ropeway heading up the mountain to a shrine and panoramic view.
