The staff were wonderful and very friendly. The dinner was amazing and breakfast was vwry good. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in of any hotel etc that I have been to. The only thing was the bathroom vent was loaded with dust. Just a little vaccuuming around the vent would help but overall it was a fantastic stay.

I dont like to leave bad reviews but I was suprised by the condition of my room. Shabby was the best descriptive word I could find. Damaged furnishings, damaged walls, trims etc. And housekeeping could definitely do better at cleaning. I arrived late , and had to ask for cleaning supplies to clean table tops , vanity tops and shower. The staff were apologetic and kind and I understand running a property these days must be tough financially but Rockwater could really benefit from some repair/upgrades and maybe bonuses or other incentives for good housekeeping.

I want to start by saying I have never left a negative review for a business, as a business owner myself I know how much difference a review makes. However I feel that I need to, I unfortunately had not seen the Google reviews before booking my stay on hotels.com and after reading so many and seeing just how many mention cleanliness being an issue I have come to the conclusion that the ownership simply doesn't care, which as a customer I find unacceptable. Our shower had a large spiderweb in it basically touching the bath tub which leads me to believe that it hadnt been cleaned. Lots of dust and dirt along baseboards and window sills, garbage around the outside of the cabin including someone's beverage glass but where I truly saw lack of care was in the restaurant. The floors appeared to have not been swept in weeks, the crack between the window and floor was FULL of crumbs and dead bugs, paper menus were dirty with stuck on food. As someone who travels alot I was shocked. It's unfortunate because the service we received from the staff was so good, especially the waitress but this place needs a serious change in either ownership or management because I've stayed in 2 stars that were spotless. There's no excuse for a dirty hotel other than the owner doesn't care if you leave unhappy as long as they got the one stay out of you and they don't want to spend on a better housekeeping situation. It's such a shame because it's such a stunning place that under the right circumstances

I loved the concept. I loved the stay. But rooms could be cleaner. The ceiling had spiderwebs. There restaurant is closed so nothing is nearby. You have to drive 20 mins. Small snack options and a small menu should be available for dinner.

We rented a cabin last minute as we came across on a ferry. When we arrived, the cabin was ready, clean and really beautiful. The view was gorgeous from it as well! The washroom amenities were wonderful, I took note of the shampoo brand because we liked it so much. We are breakfast at the on site location and the food was delicious, generously portioned and the service was great! We could not be more pleased with our stay and hope to return.

Private tent was amazing! Stayed very warm with the fireplace and heated floors. The jetted tub was a bonus! Will be staying here again!
