Overall really nice hotel! Great location for being near the water, and walkable from the train station. My bad that I didn't connect the dots on how loud it would be, since it's on the street and there's no air conditioning, so you need the windows open for fresh air. There also wasn't any soap in the shower.

Everything about the place was great except for the wifi (only for my phone). Worked fine with my laptop, the the hotel and especially my room were dead zones and wifi was not reliable with my cell. Outside of that, great stay.

Good for a short stay, no kettle

Good stay for one, not much room for anything else. Nice to have the large counter next to the window to store stuff and the storage by the bed. Wish there was a kettle in the room. Interesting wallpaper but the bed was comfy and it worked for a 2 night stay.

I strongly do not recommend this hotel to other travellers for numerous reasons. Lack of Privacy: Although check-out is at 11am, the hotel cleaners came into the room at 10:30am, while I was half-dressed in the bathroom. Then 5 minutes later, another cleaner came into the room unannounced. It is such a huge violation of personal privacy and highly disrespectful. Cleaners should wait until check-out time has passed before entering the rooms of guests. Payment Issues: Additionally, upon check out, the credit card machine was broken. I attempted to use 2 different credit cards but an error arose on the screen before I was prompted for my PIN. The front desk staff insisted it was my problem rather than their machine. They insisted I go to the bank and pay them cash which would incur significant foreign transaction fees and would exceed my daily limit. Despite my requests, they would not check their machine with another small transaction. Finally, they figured out how to use their computer to charge my credit card rather than relying on the broken machine. They never apologized or admitted their machine was broken. I have never received such a great level of disrespect at any hotel premises before. Although the building is decent, the staff lacks common decency, consideration and manners. Accessibility: There are a few steps outside the building and a few steps inside the building to get to reception which make it challenging when traveling with a stroller.

We paid for 3 standard rooms. 2 of our party had this, it seems one got upgraded presumably due to room availability. The staff member seemed very distracted checking us in and a smile wouldnt have hurt! They did not inform us other than 2 of our party were in one building, the other in main one at the top floor. The top floor room was their suite, but upon arrival a very strong smell of damp/dust hit you in the face. In places there was mould and wallpaper starting to peel away. I went to look out the window to see multiple i believe ladybirds sitting around the window! I counted 5. This had me worried about bed bugs, although none were found that i could see. Not ideal! The view was fantastic from the room which was perhaps the best part about it. The bed was comfortable as were the sheets. Having then shown this room to my friends, they were very upset as having paid the same price as me, they should have been at least told by reception the fact i had a different room with upgrade. Now to there normal single rooms, the bed was rock solid and a very small room, what they called a duvet didnt fit the bed properly. No pillows on arrival, had to get some! It did the job we wanted it to, a roof over our heads but there are hotels at very similar price points that would be far better! Only stay here if you have to, needs lots of work done to the property.
