This hotel is very cozy, yet quite cool. Lots of dining and bar options. Area around is convenient for waking and shopping. The room we had was great. Super high ceiling, very modern and comfy. Comfortable bedding. I’d stay here again.

Room was lovely with very high ceilings giving feeling of space. Hotel is very close to shopping area though the area is a bit devoid of atmosphere early morning, evening and night. Food and beverage is very expensive in the hotel and I do draw a line at 30 Euros for breakfast.

We liked the architecture of the building with a court space, the bronze turtle at the entrance and the shower space in the room. The brasserie where we dined overlooks the court and it was a good option during the summer. the breakfast area is also quite pleasant. The breakfast menu is a little heavy on the egg side and the cake choices in the vitrine were not promptly replenished when out of available slices.

Not worth the hassle

Really enjoyed our stay at the time. However, upon check-in hotel took a deposit on my card which was due to be refunded at checkout. In spite of paying in full upon departure i am still waiting on a refund of this amount almost a month later. Hotel has assured me that it has been credited back but this hasnt happened and have had to contact my credit card company to resolve. Due to this fraudelnt activity I cannot recommend and would not return.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Tortue. Very impressed with location of hotel. The finish of the lobby, brasserie and room were outstanding. Nice touches like complimentary mini bar. The staff were always extremely pleasant and helpful. The on site Bar Noir had very nice cocktails and it was lovely to sit out on the terrace in the evening. Pricing was fine, much like any other hotel bar. The one anomaly was a surprise €12 bottle of water which I thought was excessive. Overall I’d highly recommend this hotel for a short break
