I booked our trip in October for Christmas. Rang 1pm on Christmas Day (as we arrived with family) to say they had no disabled room for us. We had to accept twin room as no other hotel near by had any disabled rooms. My severely disabled daughter (who has a progressive brain disease could not get in bathroom in her wheelchair so I could not shower her. Her hoist did not fit on the room either so had to try and lift her each time. They said they would reimburse the cost of the stay and then changed to say we could have one night free the next time we visit. So upset our Christmas Day was wasted not knowing where we were going to stay. Ridiculous set up as they said they don’t know how many rooms are taken until the morning. The fact that I booked in October and all the other disabled rooms were still free they said didn’t come into it. As I booked through a 3rd party I was first to be messed around. The chef was also very unfriendly when I asked for gluten free items. This hotel we have stayed in many times and never had any major problems before. Definitely disappointed this time.
