Fantastic stay at L'HÔTEL du LAC, Hanoi I stayed at L'HÔTEL du LAC for a week and a half in October and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is perfectly located in Hanoi’s Old Quarter — close to many sights, cafés, and shops, yet quiet enough for a restful stay. My room was spotless, very comfortable, and well maintained throughout my visit. The staff were exceptional — genuinely warm, attentive, and with great attention to detail. Their hospitality really made my stay memorable. The hotel’s **Le Ciel Sky Bar** is a highlight — the evening city views are beautiful, and the cocktails are creative and expertly made. I also visited **La Maison Spa**, where I had one of the best massages I’ve ever had — truly first-class service. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Hanoi, and I’d happily stay again!

We loved our stay here. Very walkable and convenient location. Great rooftop bar and breakfast which is included. Most of all the staff were amazing! Very helpful and went out of their way to provide the best experience. We left to the airport at 11 pm after checking out in the morning, and they kindly offered us a shower and chance to freshen up after a long day of sightseeing. Highly recommend this hotel!

Great stay and awesome location

We stayed only 1 night. The staff was very accommodating and attentive to our needs, and wanted to make sure that we were comfortable. We had a takeout on breakfast as we were being picked up early to start the tour to SaPa, and the staff ensured that we had everything we needed. Great location, would stay here again.

My stay at the hotel was beyond wonderful, it was at the perfect location, close to the lake, shopping, tour pickups, and the night market area. I went as a solo traveler and saftey is always my number one priority, the staff was super helpful in helping me understand which areas of Hanoi to go to, best recommendations, and making me feel comfortable in the stay. The room was so spacious and clean, I booked with the window inside the hallway, and it was so quiet, you couldn't hear the traffic at all. I really recommend doing a spa at the top floor, you will feel super relaxed in your stay. The buffet options are also super varied and have great dietary options for everyone. Muy bonito el hotel, me encanto acá vuelvo de nuevo!

The reviews are real. This place is legit. An older hotel that is very well cared for. Diligent helpful friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good spa. Great rooftop bar. Great neighborhood. Near the lake (which is a real hub, especially in the morning). This is probably the best mix of western amenities but still feels like an authentic Vietnamese experience. Strong recommend.

Nice stay, convenient

Very kind staff and ready to help with any questions. Good location walking distance to coffee shops and the old quarter. Room was large and spacious. No gym, you have to go the Grand L’HÔTEL Dulac which is a 5 min walk. I got a terrace room which was interesting, though the view was nice. Rooftop bar had good cocktails as well.

EXCELLENT choice for Hanoi

I comfortable, affordable, central, and fantastic option for your Hanoi trip. The staff were very friendly and receptive to our needs. The rooftop bar offers great views of the nearby areas. Close enough to plenty of dining and lounging options, making it the perfect home base for the Old Quarter area. Breakfast was more than adequate.
