Good service but accommodation needs a facelift

The welcome from the staff and service received the whole weekend was very good and has my thumbs up. However the room (although clean) was very 'dated'. The bed was comfortable, but the headboard was loose :) and I missed having a shower. But overall comfortable for the purpose of our stay, attending a wedding at a neighboring facility.

Relaxed environment

It was an amazing experience for my wife and I. Very relaxed environment and friendly stuff. I enjoyed view of the mountain and the dam during sunset.

We loved the piece and quiet and beautiful/breath-taking surroundings. The staff were friendly and the food was impeccable. We were not impressed with how we were greeted, the coffee in the room was not replaced on a regular basis which means you had to ask for replacements, the towels that were removed were not replaced. There was no welcoming package (as with other **** hotels) i.e. chocolates on the bed or table.

We had a lovely view of the dam day and night, night view was a personal favourite. The staff were super helpful, friendly and accommodating. We were unfortunate to have had same booking as a wedding for that weekend, so there was a fair bit of noise and activity so we didn't get to enjoy tranquility of the place until our last full day there. I could definitely see myself going back to La Montagne for a quiet getaway
