Our 300-year-old Appenzell house, idyllically located just outside Heiden in Switzerland, offers a studio in a converted barn. Ideal for active guests who enjoy biking, hiking, skiing, and relaxing on Lake Constance. The studio features twin beds and a double bed in the attic. The surrounding area offers cultural highlights such as the outdoor swimming pool built in 1932 and spiritual sites like the Chindlistein. It’s the perfect starting point for excursions to Liechtenstein, St. Gallen, Appenzell, Bregenz, and Lindau.
The studio features a bedroom with two single beds (80 cm wide), and a steep staircase leads up to the attic, where there are two additional single beds. Since the studio features the aforementioned steep stairs and trap doors, it’s particularly well-suited for active and young-at-heart guests. A narrow road leads to our house, but it ends in a dead end in front of the garage. There’s very little room to turn around here. It’s best to park your vehicle about 200 metres away from the house.
