Our first room, was on the first floor off the lobby. Super noisy and the Fire Place didn/t work. We finally moved rooms to the 2nd floor at an additional cost and the Wifi didn't work. No compensation either. Very, very disappointing.

Cannot speak highly enough about the staff, particularly Jan, and all the others that helped make our long weekend stay in Helen magical! The grounds were clean and well-kept. We loved having dinner at the restaurant overlooking the mountains, with our nightcap at the rooftop bar. Golf was a challenge but an absolutely gorgeous course! This property is very conveniently located to Helen and many hiking trails, vineyards, and great food!

My wife and I booked a room at Valhalla Resort for three nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived shortly after check-in time, 4:15 p.m. We were immediately greeted by a gentleman who helped us with our luggage. When we walked inside to register, I was taken by the beautiful interior of the lobby area and the restaurant which is visible when you enter. We were offered a complimentary glass of champagne then we went to our room on the 2nd floor which was also was beautifully decorated. There was a sitting area with fireplace, a king-size bed and very large bathroom with a double vanity and large walk-in shower equipped with a rainfall shower head and many additional amenities! Since we arrived late in the day, dinner was on our minds. Not wanting to get back in the car, we went upstairs to the Sky Bar—an intimate room with a contemporary decor. We ate outside on the terrace and enjoyed the mountain view. We both ordered the fried chicken sandwich with pimento cheese, fries and soft drinks. The food was delicious! And the service was spot on. After dinner we took a stroll around the gorgeous grounds near the golf course and saw some wildlife. The pool area also offers a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy a peaceful experience. Throughout our stay the staff was friendly, personable and eager to assist with any needs we had. Additionally, we enjoyed breakfast in the Caledonia Restaurant and everything was cooked and served with perfection.

We couldn’t have been any happier. The whole experience was amazing. The accommodations were spectacular but what really won us over was the people. Every single person was warm and welcoming and made you feel like family. We will definitely be back to Valhalla again!

Getaway weekend for my wife’s birthday, our second stay there. Great service, the food excellent with their new chef, and clean. Our only disappointment was the suite I booked was ground level so no views from our balcony!

The hotel was beautiful. However, I was called in advance, and explained we were on our honeymoon. I was told I could purchase a celebration package, and I did. I had paid for a deluxe king suite. They asked if I needed an accessible room, I told them I didn’t. When we arrived, we had been booked in an ADA room. The reception then changed it, stating to my new wife that she was “upgrading us, complimentary “. The room we were given was exactly what I paid for. Then she proceeded to state that there was champagne and cake and a gift in our room, and breakfast would be delivered, all “complimentary “. These were all things I paid for!! Don’t take credit for things I paid for, and don’t tell my wife you’re upgrading us then give us exactly what I paid for. It took away from the experience and had her questioning what room I had originally booked. Overall, not worth the cost or the time to travel to.

The service was great and room was nice but dated. There are window a/c units in the bedroom and living area. This was unexpected for the price paid for the suite. The food was really good at the restaurant on site but pretty expensive, especially for drinks. Drinks were $15-$20 each.
