The small apartment is a beautiful 2 room apartment with a bedroom for 2 persons, a bathroom and a living room with kitchenette. The living room has a fold-out sofa, as an alternative sleeping facility or for an extra child.

The guest house Cap Hoorn is a fourth-generation holiday home on the upper land of the island of Helgoland. The house is in the first row (Norderfalm 326) at the cliffs and all living spaces offer a full open seaview. The distance to the lift is approximately 2-3 minutes. On the ground floor we have a large and a small holiday apartment. The two apartments have open unobstructed view of the sea, which is especially in the large apartment with a panoramic view in the living room to advantage. Both apartments are particularly suitable for seniors and families with children.

Arrivals are possible from 16:00 to 19:00 and departures from 07:00 to 10:00.

Lage und Blick wunderbar! Edeka und Bäcker gleich um die Ecke, Service wie man es sich wünscht. Sofa sehr durchgesessen, Teppich alt und fleckig, sonstige Ausstattung gut.

Hübsche FeWo auf dem Oberland mit unschlagbarer Aussicht

Die Ferienwohnung ist klein, aber sehr angenehm für zwei Personen. Für drei wäre sie vielleicht etwas eng. Sie hat alles was man braucht, die Aussicht vom Esstisch übers Meer zur Düne ist super schön - man kann sogar die Robben auf dem Strand drüben erkennen! Die Wohnung liegt direkt am Klippenrandweg, auf dem man den gesamten oberen Teil der Insel in einer gemütlichen Gehzeit von ca. 3/4 Stunden umwandern kann - sehr schön zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit, bei Sonnenschein, Regen oder Nebel - jedesmal ein neues Erlebnis! Treppe und Fahrstuhl ins Unterland sind 3 Gehminuten weg, der kleine Edeka und der Inselbäcker auf dem Oberland sind auch in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Uns gefiel die etwas ruhigere Wohnlage auf dem Oberland ausnehmend gut - wer ins Unterland in die Shopping"meile" möchte, wo sich die Tagestouristen drängeln, kann das in wenigen Minuten erreichen.... Wir empfehlen sehr die Bunker-Führung, bei der man vom einheimischen Guide nicht nur über die schlimmen Kriegszeiten und das Leben in den Bunkern viel erfährt, sondern insgesamt sehr viel über Geschichte, Natur, Kultur und Alltagsleben auf der Insel lernt, damals und heute. Für uns hat die eine Woche gereicht, dass uns die Insel so sehr in Bann gezogen hat, dass wir unbedingt wiederkommen möchten. Die nette und gemütliche FeWo hat daran nicht wenig Anteil! Also uneingeschränkte Empfehlung für alle, die keinen Luxus brauchen, sondern eine gemütliche Bleibe, in die man nach einer Wanderung um die Insel oder einer Tagestour auf die Düne gerne zurückkommt! Die schlechte Bewertung unserer Vorgänger können wir in keinster Weise bestätigen. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, von Schimmel, Schmutz, fleckigen Handtüchern etc. keine Spur.

Dreckig und schimmelig

Eine solche Ferienwohnung ist mir noch nicht untergekommen. Die Ferienwohnung war dreckig (Haare in der Besteckschublade, fleckige Handtücher, ungeputzter Kühlschrank, Zahnpastareste vom Vormieter usw.), die Matratze war total durchgelegen, vieles funktionierte nicht (Flurlicht, Nachtlampe usw.), am schlimmsten jedoch war der SCHIMMEL im Badezimmer, Wohnzimmer und im Schlafzimmer direkt neben dem Bett. Auf meine Beschwerdemail reagierte der Vermieter innerhalb einer Woche (bis heute) nicht. Daher rate ich - trotz der traumhaften Lage und des super Blicks auf die Düne - dringend von dieser Fereinwohnung ab. Einen erholsamen und entspannten Urlaub kann man in dieser Unterkunft nämlich definitiv nicht verbringen.

Kleiner Rückzugsort zum Entspannen

Wir waren fünf Tage auf Helgoland. Die Insel hat uns gut getan. Die Unterkunft war sauber, ordentlich. Sie ist klein, aber man hat alles, was man braucht. Ein schöner Blick aufs Meer vom Frühstückstisch aus. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
