Attractions close by include: downtown Hendersonville (11 miles), downtown Brevard (14 miles), Dupont State Forest, (12 miles), Chimney Rock, Biltmore House, Lake Lure, Pisgah National Forest, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Brevard Music Center, Flatrock Playhouse, and downtown Asheville (25 miles). Transylvania County is known as 'the land of waterfalls' and each offers a unique experience. Within a few miles are excellent golf courses including Cummings Cove and Etowah Valley Country Club and Golf Resort which is rated by Golf Digest. Mountain Ridge Cottage has a stunning long-range mountain view including Mt. Pisgah, Blue Ridge Mountains, Pisgah National Forest and the French Broad River Valley.
