## Emplacement
The city of Hérouville-Saint-Clair is located in the suburbs of Caen, in Calvados. A small town in Normandy which was only called Hérouville until the 60's, when it was decided to create a new city which multiplied by 13 the number of inhabitants. It is the birth of Hérouville-Saint-Clair. The city is located inland, but only ten kilometers from the sea, the English Channel. Thanks to its proximity to the sea, the culinary specialities of Hérouville-Saint-Clair are often based on fish or shellfish.
