Arrived on Sunday around 6:00 P.M. Hotel was dark, one door was open and lights came on, but no one was there to check us in. Found a phone number on the receipt, but that didn't work. The small print non the receipt said to make arrangements if you arrive after 12:00 on Sunday. Didn't see that until we found the hotel dark and deserted. Finally found a note on a door stating our room number, but that door was locked and the lobby dark. Were able to find our way to the room and the key was in the door. The room was clean and comfortable. On Monday we checked out between 7:30 and 7:45 AM. Same thing. No one was there. Didn't get breakfast at that hotel. Check-in process on Sunday really needs improvement.

Room furnishings were showing their age. Bathroom sink tap was slow, but shower flow was good. We opted for their dinner buffet. This consisted of a selection of plainly cooked items.

Disappointing.

Service was good and breakfast was decent. The main issue was the room had toilet smell throughout our stay as there is some gutter issue on the building and surrounding area. It seems happening after heavy rains but at least we did not feel comfortable...

Hotel is abandoned by staff during evenings/nights

I arrived at the hotel at 10pm and found a note on the front door saying that the key to my room was in the door and to follow the map to the back entrance to the hotel where the door was supposed to be open. This is of course not very comforting if you are worried about safety. As a safety precaution (or more likely because of poor management) the back door was actually NOT open. As a result I had to roam around the hotel trying to figure out if I had the wrong back door. I called the Emergency numbers - two were provided on the front door - but of course neither of the phone numbers were actually answered. 30 min later I found another open back door and managed to make it to our room without any assistance by the hotel staff. A passer-by actually told us that the hotel is managed by another hotel 10 km away - but there was no mention of this at this hotel and no phone number available. Rooms were adequate for sleeping, but without any amenities at all. The front desk staff in the morning noted that it was unfortunate that the back door was locked and she would look into it, and was generally friendly. Breakfast was very simple but OK. I would not recommend this hotel unless your alternative is a youth hostel

Beautiful Hotel

This is a quaint little hotel. The rooms are large and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good. The restaurant offered a variety of food with a number of traditional Danish cuisine. It is located about 1 hour by car to Skagen and about 30 minutes to Aalborg.

Good Location

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were nice, the breakfast was good and the location was pretty good. The bed was a bit hard, but apart from that everything else was spot on. A nice place to stop while travelling.
