This hotel claims to be a five-star property, but the only aspect that reflects that rating is the price. We stayed here for three nights and were shocked by the condition and cleanliness of the bathroom. 1. There was no hot water at first, and even after notifying the staff, it was only lukewarm. 2. The shower base and bathtub were surrounded by mold and dirt under the caulking. 3. The tile joints in the shower area were completely black and filthy. 4. The bathroom floor was covered with stains, dirt, and shoe scuffs. The breakfast buffet was also disappointing compared to other five-star hotels in Vietnam. Additionally, the hotel is located in a very poor neighborhood, on a street filled with used and salvaged motorcycle parts. Overall, this hotel seems suitable only for tour groups who have no choice in selecting their accommodation. If you’d like a stronger, softer, or more formal tone, I can adjust it!

My Premier Room was spacious, bright, and thoughtfully designed, with good amenities. Housekeeping provided two bottles of water each day, which was a nice touch. All the staff were incredibly friendly and made the stay feel genuinely welcoming.

Room nice, staff OK, helpful. Just no open restaurant past 9, bar/lobby lounge closed at 10. It’s a tour group hotel not fit for regular traveler. I made a mistake booking here. It’s in the middle of a residential old neighborhood as well. Nothing to walk to or see or do after 9 PM.

Too many tourists

I'm not trying to be racist or put down anybody from a different country, but the number of Chinese with their poor behavior just killed everything positive about this hotel. I stayed on the non-smoking floor, and the smell of smoke was so bad that it might have been a smoking floor. I'm sure the staff can smell it, but they didn't do a thing about it during my 4 nights there. Had to call the front desk as I could hear these Chinese people yelling and screaming across the hallway with their doors open. Yet it took them an extra 15 minutes to even send anybody. Next time I'm staying at the Nikko Hotel about 5 minutes away. If you have no other choice, make sure to ask if there are any Chinese tour groups nearby when checking in. Sorry to say, but they'll ruin everything good about the hotel and your stay.

Buffet breakfast was mostly Indian food, catered to Indian guests. Service was mediocre. Non smoking hotel but it’s obvious the floor we stayed in smelled of cigarettes and as soon as we exit the hotel it smelled of cigarettes. We will not return

good hotel, great staff.

We had a great stay at the Equatorial. We had kids also and the staff was friendly and helpful (sadly this is not the norm at all 5-star properties in Vietnam, so it was a nice experience). The pool is great, I would recommend a room by the pool. The food was also very food (slightly pricy compared to alternatives, but comparable). I would recommend this hotel as great option for visiting HCMC.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet food was mediocre at best. Staff clears food immediately as breakfast ends. Few minutes late and no food for you. It’s a crime to have bad coffee in VN, capital of amazing coffee. Somehow this hotel manages to do this. Non smoking hotel but people still smoke. I had to complain twice about cigarette smell as soon as I left my room.

Very nice staff. Extremely helpful and polite. The room was clean and tidy. A nice balcony overlooking the city. The washing service was too expensive so I was disappointed with that. The washing was more than my clothes were worth. I should have checked so I do except that but was not expecting those prices. The pool area is lovely. Bar good service
