Appledore (13 miles) is also a great option for its rich boat-building heritage and pastel-hued cottages. Keen walkers will love joining the South West Coast Path to discover breathtaking scenery, including Hartland Quay (17 miles) and the impressive Speke's Mill Mouth Waterfall (11 miles). For family-friendly days out, take children to The BIG Sheep theme park (9.5 miles), or to try out water sports on Tamar Lake (6 miles).


On arrival, step inside to light-filled open-plan living space that’s ideal for spending time together watching TV or sharing meals at the dining area. French doors bring the outside in, while comfortable seating creates an inviting place to relax. Here during the chillier months? Keep warm with the help of the cosy wood burner. The well-equipped kitchen has everything needed for preparing family favourites, and there’s a breakfast bar for perching with toast or a glass of wine in the evenings. There are two generously sized bedrooms – a double room and a versatile twin with zip-and-link beds (can be arranged as a super-king-size upon request). Completing the accommodation is a contemporary wet room featuring a bath, separate shower and WC.


Outside, you’ll have your own private rear patio for sitting with morning coffee or evening BBQs, complete with outdoor furniture. You’ll also have access to a shared lawn and plunge pool with surrounding patio space and seating, with the pool available from Easter until the beginning of November each year. There’s private parking for two cars.
