Clean and comfortable

Pros: The hotel has lovely grounds and pool though not large. Both restaurants were nice to eat at and catered well to a gluten free diet.
Cons: More shade around the pool area would make it more useful across the day. A soap holder on the bathroom bench would be nice.
As a family of four we had a comfortable stay at the Coral Sea Resort in Honiara. The rooms are almost brand new so were very clean and quite well appointed. The sofa bed would probably not have been suitable for anyone older than our kids (<9 years). The staff were very accommodating and friendly though not always efficient but nothing was a problem to have fixed.

I thank you for your kind words regarding my staff and assure you we strive to train and mentor our staff regularly to achieve and maintain a high level of service. Being a new resort, there are few items we need to look at and this is an on-going and daily task. The soap holders are en-route from Australia and we have purchased trundle beds for kids or extra guests in a room, also on the way. Upon Stage 3, we shall be looking at adjoining rooms and indeed family rooms. Mr/Mrs, thank you again for sharing your feedback. We look forward to seeing you and your family again in 2018. My son and I enjoyed our stay at coral sea resort. However, staff need more training on customer expectations. Restaurant has good selection of meals and snacks. Rooms very comfortable . Good proximity to yacht club and craft markets. We went to dive so it was great to come back here after a day in the water and relax with a cocktail overlooking the ocean and surrounding islands.

Great rooms; Has some areas to improve

The luxury waterfront Villas are new and are very nice accomodation. Our family of 2 + 2 stayed. The kids were on a large sofa bed. The main issue I had with the hotel was upon arrival - we were met with the usual form to fill in but it turned out that the only credit card the hotel accepts is Visa - unfortunately I carry only AMEX and MasterCard. I was sent away to an ATM to get money to pay for my room upfront! It turned out I had already paid via wotif (I accept that I should have known this but this accomodation was not out only destination on our trip and I generally turn up to hotels and expect that I will only be asked to pay if I haven't already). Having got off to a bad start the staff did whatever they could to rectify the problem. The Hotel is relatively new and I think that some of their systems / staff are being trained up. I was told that other credit cards should be hopefully accepted soon (check before booking if you don't carry a Visa card) They are also building a new block of rooms with a bit of noise but this should be finished soon. The restaurant was good enough. I didn't try out the casino! At the moment the restaurant is only open for breakfast at the weekend so a pretty suboptimal breakfast was delivered to the room the evening prior - I suspect this will change

Have we been able to locate it, we would have been able to check you without a problem. Yes - we have a brand new and wonderful place here and we try to run it in a very professional way. Mistakes are made by everyone and we apologise for the inconvenience this has cause you. It is not our intent to confuse or disappoint our guests, or provide anything less then the best of personal services. Please rest assured that I have shared these matters with my team to ensure our guests receive the level of service expected of our brand. We are also happy to inform you that the gateway has now open to accept all Credit Cards i.e. Visa, Amex, MasterCard, JCB, Diners etc. Our primary concern is the satisfaction of our guests and we are glad to read that you had a positive experience at Haydn's Steakhouse but we seem to have fallen short of with breakfast. We would appreciate if you could have this this as an isolated incident. Please be rest assured that breakfast will soon be available everyday at Haydn's or for room service to cope with the new 30 Hotel Suites opening this mid-August.
