We checked in and our bathroom had a half inch of dirt on the floor and a trashcan in the sink. Housekeeping came and cleaned. Much better, lots of dust bunnies/dirt globs left on the floor. Definitely not worth the price. Not sure we would stay again. This is not a good 1st impression. Edit: The manager contacted me on Saturday, 2/8 and made arrangements to move us to a suite. The last 2 nights of our stay was amazing. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable.

The bed was hard as a rock. I know it's a historic building but they could at east paint and put new carpet down. Our room looked terrible. The lobby was really nice. They had a band and we liked that. Staff was very nice. We won't stay there again.

Wish we would have stayed at Airbnb instead

Didn’t realize parking cost so much extra unless you drive a couple blocks away to a different gated open to the elements parking. The hotel door was horribly hard to open and didn’t know until the morning we were leaving when one of the cleaning people said someone at the front desk was suppose to give us instructions on how to unlock the door. We were in 5th floor which hallway to room was very dimly lit we had to use of phone flashlight to see room numbers and door lock. The view to pool and mtn listed was no existent. The tv didn’t work until maintenance had to bring a jack to move the super heavy furniture so he could plug it up. Apparently there was a resort fee added as well that wasn’t listed in price. There was a lot of peeling paint that was a bit worrisome because of the age of the hotel. There was a band playing in lobby that played pretty late and was too loud, we could hear in our room in 5th floor. The maintenance team was helpful getting tv plugged in and Joe was nice that brought our bags to room. The creamery down stairs was really good. But we will never stay here again

I’ve been staying at The Arlington for years, I love the historical preservation but geez, clean it. I couldn’t sleep due to the lack of a/c. The vents and fan in the room were caked with dust. Our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay and had wallpaper peeling off the walls. The pool/hot tub area looked like Al Capone had a gun fight with broken glass, dirty water, broken shower heads. This was my last time to stay here, even the staff wasn’t friendly.

Parking & Check-in: There was no hotel parking available upon arrival, and the garage is open to the public, with no reserved spaces for guests. Overnight parking is $22, but I ended up spending 30 minutes searching for street parking. The check-in process was chaotic, as the front desk is located in the same small lobby as the bar and a live band. The music was so loud that we couldn’t hear the front desk staff and had to wait for the band to stop playing just to check in. Room & Cleanliness: The room was as dated as expected, but it should have been included in the renovation of that wing. The bathroom was in poor condition, with drywall showing rust, mold in the corners of the shower, and an overall unclean feeling that made my wife feel dirty even after showering. Additionally, the walls were extremely thin—we could clearly hear the couple next door having a normal conversation, which didn’t make for a restful stay. Renovation Noise: Renovations were actively happening on our floor. Had to have repairs made upon check in and multiple times during our stay, (loss of power) Construction noise started at 7 AM on Saturday and 8 AM on Sunday, making it nearly impossible to sleep in or relax. Overall, while the hotel has historical charm, the lack of maintenance, poor soundproofing, and disruptive renovations made our stay uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here until the renovations are complete and the hotel makes much-needed updates to its rooms and amenities.

Go to another hotel… Dirty.

Don’t bring your car, it’s $22 to self park in a very old garage down the street and have to walk to your hotel. The hallways were so dark with little to no light. Once I stepped into the room, the carpets had stains EVERYWHERE… and chairs were very loved. The bathroom had water/mold on ceiling from previous guest and cracked/missing tiles. Only thing that was nice was the beds were clean and had nice pillows…

The lobby and public areas were in fine order. I’m guessing all rooms aren’t created equal, but we booked super late, so likely got the not ideal area. It was very cool getting to experience a piece of 100 year old history, but would have enjoyed it more if the dust and toilet cleaning in our rooms weren’t 100 years old as well.

I know it’s an old hotel but least change the carpet. The carpets were so dirty it had stains all over. We felt very disgusted staying there. The bathtub was clogged. Overall they should stop renting rooms until the finish fixing the place. We all fell sick after spending just staying one night.
