A wonderful relaxing stay in this colonial style coastal hotel, ideally located for all Hua Hin has to offer. The afternoon tea was sublime. The staff were a pleasure to deal with and looked after us well. We'd go back!

Somewhat faded grandeur

Grand 1920s colonial style hotel. Reasonably well maintained but my room was tired and various things didn’t work well (door, plug socket). Room also fairly small by today’s standards in Hua Hin and old style fittings in bathroom. Demographic is almost entirely white European couples aged 65+. Creates a peaceful environment but may not be for everyone. Coast restaurant good. Breakfast a wide choice but lacking a little in some areas by today’s 5 star hotel standards (eg nuts and seeds). Old coffee machine; a newer one would make better cappuccini. A gap of eight years since I last went, apparently. Front desk didn’t note I’d been three or four times when asking me if was my first visit there. In eight years, nothing has changed: no enhancements, same gym machines, old fashioned sun beds etc. I suspect the many returning clients like the no change thing but the competition has moved forward a lot in eight years. With some investment and imagination, the hotel could probably broaden its demographic. If it wants to. Maybe it doesn’t. I sense returning clients are well looked after. At times, we couldnt get apparently vacant sunbeds and had to find another pool because ‘users returning’. This shouldn’t happen or at least set ‘returners’ an 60-90 minute absence time limit.

The staff is not five star at all. The hotel is old and lacking in comparably. It’s an amazing structure though and the history is rich. The grounds are amazing. Just super lacking in five service and finish.

We stayed in one of the villas with a private pool. Big, comfy bed, good water pressure from the showers, jasmine scented soaps / shampoos were very nice. The outdoor tub was excellent and filled very quickly (less than 5 minutes). Very relaxing atmosphere and they did a great job separating all the pool areas to make it feel like a smaller hotel, despite it being a big resort. Garden areas were beautiful and well maintained. If you're staying in the villas around NYE, be prepared for some noise as the villas numbered in the 400's and 500's back onto the public beach where revellers will be lighting fireworks until early hours - not recommended for light sleepers - but it is New Years after all so celebrations are to be expected. No issues with noise from Jan 2nd. Good food options for Vegans and vegetarians.

Exceptional staff, great food & gorgeous property!

An absolutely beautiful property and the staff was among the best anywhere. Really wonderful. We originally got a villa but decided we'd rather have a room and the staff helped us to move to a beautiful corner room with a sea view. And this was on Christmas Eve when there was little availability. Also, the breakfasts were superb, as well as the restaurant near the beach. The only disappointment was that there was no bum gun and this is one of the most Thai properties I've ever experienced. My Thai girlfriend really struggled with this. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay.

Centura Grand Beach Hotel

This hotel is in beautiful grounds and is well kept. It is in a great location with shops, restaurants and the beach nearby. The staff are very friendly and helpful. As we were staying in a suite, we had access to club benefits and it was definitely worth paying the extra money for this; especially the delicious afternoon tea. We love this hotel and will definitely be visiting again!

Charming excellence.

This is an excellent hotel, full of charm, and human sized. It was very good to see a variety of restaurants and bars, all on the ground level, each with its own atmosphere and staff uniform. Staff were unfailingly polite, friendly and efficient. There were plenty of outdoor loungers, free to use, and with staff on hand to indulge your every whim. The period charm is well preserved, although this means that our bathroom was a little old fashioned, but adequate. Our room looked out to the sea, made better with a terrace attached. I would certainly visit here again.

It was a very positive experience. I could not have asked for a more relaxing hotel . The hotels beachfront was twice as wide as all the other hotels in the area . Excellent service

Really lovely

We loved the resort. Very comfortable and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms a bit worn but nice beds. Deck chairs would benefit with foot rests. But overall really lovely
