We were extremely disappointed with the state of this rental. The kitchen had only 3–4 worn-out plastic plates that were far past their usable age. The house lacked even the most basic essentials that most vacation rentals provide—coffee, tea, salt, or a minimally functional dinner set. Replacing the entire set would cost under $100, and yet the condition was so unhygienic that we had to buy our own paper plates to avoid getting sick.
The linens were also concerning. The pillow covers clearly hadn’t been washed, so we removed them at checkout along with the sheets (as instructed) in the hope that they would be cleaned for the next guests.
We received our check-in instructions at 5:11 pm—well past the promised check-in time—and only after multiple calls. On the other hand, when we asked for a one-hour extension on checkout (to 11 am), the request was quickly denied. Rules seem to be enforced only when it benefits the host or agency, not when accountability or guest experience is at stake.
Customer support (both phone and chat) was unhelpful and entirely script-driven. This is a clear example of the downside of dealing with a property management agency instead of an actual host: no ownership, no accountability, and no intent to make the guest’s stay comfortable.
