Comfortable but maybe not reliable

Hotel Golden Star is a comfortable and friendly place to stay in Iquitos. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The WiFi is decent enough to contact family from most rooms of the hotel. The only - major - concern I have for this hotel is that they didn’t save my reservation through hotels dot com - they said that it was made too early (six months in advance as I am traveling with colleagues) and they didn’t keep it on file. I had also emailed the hotel a week earlier with no response. Fortunately the hotel had extra rooms but I imagine the experience would have been much more stressful if they hadn’t. One staff member was particularly difficult to deal with as he didn’t slow his Spanish and didn’t seem to listen to my concerns, but all the other staff were wonderful. I’d recommend booking if you are able to contact the hotel directly to confirm the booking.

Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt

Preis-Leistung sind ok. Zimmer war super sauber. Abholung vom Flughafen klappte selbst zu später Stunde perfekt. Hotel liegt ca 20 min Fussweg vom touristischen Zentrum. Frühstück war dürftig.
