Located on the sweeping first floor of Lews Castle (accessible via lift and a few steps) our Shoeburn apartment offers an incredibly spacious open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, overlooking Stornoway harbour and the main entrance. Swathed in a chic and contemporary palette, the fully-equipped kitchen leads into a beautiful living area with corner sofa. The adjoining bedroom has a large, cosy bed and double wardrobe, but due to the unique layout of the castle, has views over the castle roof. The en-suite bathroom offers a powerful shower and 'his and hers' sinks.

Lews Castle

We spent a wonderful week in an apartment in Lews Castle Stornoway. The apartment was very spacious, light and with high ceilings as befits a castle. Its location was excellent, in extensive grounds and in walking distance of Stornoway. It also had views of the harbour. We could watch ferries and cruise ships come in and out.

Lovely stay at Lews Castle

We stayed here for two nights with friends and loved the spacious, elegant rooms, great view, and convenient location. It was a lot of fun to explore the castle and the grounds are beautiful. Breakfast and lunch are available in the cafe downstairs; unfortunately other typical hotel amenities such as an on-site restaurant, bar or gym are not available, nor was there daily housekeeping. But for our short stay we didn't miss any of those things, as we were busy sightseeing, and it's a short walk to the center of Stornoway. Highly recommend!

Life time wonder

The apartment was warm and comfortable with all the facilities and wonderful views from the property. We had a wonderful welcome from Matt who was very helpful. An excellent location for a holiday with wonderful grounds and easy access to the town. An amazing quiet and peaceful holiday .
