The hotel is in old town and is a typical hotel in that area. Walking in the area requires walking up large hills, which is also typically in that area. The staff was wonderful and will to help with anything you need. Breakfast was very good and they offered made to order eggs and omelettes. Room is standard size and comfortable, air conditioning worked well. They set up transportation to airport for us!

The room was very clean and the staff were very kind :) breakfast was self serve however was always topped up if it ran out and there was also a large variety which changed every day and the air conditioning in the room worked well, overall a great experience and would definitely recommend

Bed very comfortable, pillows average. Bedrooms and bathroom weren’t cleaned properly throughout the week’s stay. The sink was merely wiped with clear soap marks still visible and taps not wiped at all on some occasions. Broken toilet seat that nipped skin. Staff smoking out on the front steps which you had to walk through. Breakfast is heavily based on processed meat and cheese. Yogurt not fresh everyday, syrups and jams in massive bowls with flies about. Two slice toaster insufficient and slow. Generally only white sliced bread available. Not healthy breakfast choices, chips, fried onion rings, and other deep fried items.

The room was nice and cool. We didn’t need ac or heat the time we were there. Staff was great. Enes was super helpful and the evening guy gave us a great recommendation for a rooftop restaurant overlooking the bay that was perfect.

Good hotel, would recommend!

Overall, we have nothing bad to say about our stay in Kare Hotel. Location was very convenient to all old city tourist attractions, hotel itself is neat and staff is very friendly and helpful. Front desk people gave us really good tips on food places and arranged transportation to airport that was fairly priced (given the fact that everything is very expensive in Istanbul). Breakfast was very good, had variety from day to day and staff ensured that everything was refilled. The only drawback for us was the front staircase - we traveled with toddler and stroller and oh boy was it a workout to get it up and down the stairs. The room was a decent size, had everything we needed. The staff was very accommodating to our requests if we had any. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Istanbul and wanting to have a quiet and yet very close to main attractions stay.

Wonderful stay

This hotel had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It was also quiet also. Front desk was super helpful. Went out of the way to help us. My son had left his phone in a taxi cab and they helped him track the taxi and also translate for us when it was necessary. I can’t thank them enough for such an excellent service and experience

Hotel is still in great condition for being in old town. Maybe a 5-8 minute walk to the blue mosque. Breakfast that is included is just ok. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Also 10 euro to send out a bag of laundry to have washed dried and folded on return. Seemed like a great deal since places around were 250 per kg.

Good Value hotel in walking distance to the sights

The bed was comfortable and the AC worked very good. The rooms were modern and clean. The breakfast buffet had a nice variety of foods. Front desk staff , (Enes) was very friendly and extremely helpful in suggesting places to go and providing other tips for travelers in Istanbul.
