I’m not sure where to begin. The rooms are in disrepair. I’m not sure what’s going on. There has been no renovation or anything in decades. The furniture, walls, bathroom were just in poor condition. We stayed here over 10 years ago, and do not remember this condition. The pillows felt like they were a decade old, like hard as a rock. If you are desiring location, a nice restaurant and great customer service, but don’t mind poor room conditions, then this is the place for you. I’m doubting we will ever stay here again.

Location is right next to Hagia Sofia. Room we had was fairly spacious with a balcony and huge bathrooms. Really loved the large shower and turkish style bath with the marble sink and seats in the shower. Bed was comfortable. And staff was super friendly. HOWEVER - The location doesn’t seem to be accessible for Taxis. Ours dropped us off at the bottom of the hill because of the tram. We had to walk up hill with our luggage on cobblestone and observed other guests arriving do the same to get to the hotel. So book proper Airport transfers that will get you right at the hotel’s door step. - The hotel is old and needs updating. The rooms are clean but tired. Like the carpet in the room has old stains. The air conditioners are also old and underpowered for the room size and need replacing. We arrived in the evening and its been a very hot week (its summer time and there is a heat wave) the room we had would not cool and we could not sleep. Around 11pm we requested to maybe borrow an electric fan if available but they did not have one. After 3 hours we requested for a different room otherwise we were going to check out and book somewhere else. luckily they had another room available hoping it would be better. The new room took about 6 hours to cool but after that it was okay.

This hotel is classy. The rooms are luxurious and the breakfast is wonderful. Be aware that it's an old building that would not be accessible to people with disabilities. If that's not an issue for you, it's very nice and close to the main sights.

This hotel is a great find - an absolute gem! We loved our stay there, and it's in the perfect location to0. I'm disabled and have to use a mobility scooter or a walking frame. The hotel is not totally step free, but the staff bent over backwards to help. There was always someone on hand to lift the scooter up the steps, or connect the charger etc. They were also happy for us to have our breakfast in the main (ground floor) restaurant (by the window!), rather than climb the flight of stairs to the normal breakfast room. We were struck also by how helpful - and happy - all the staff were. We noticed a couple of ladies working in the kitchen preparing some food and they were chatting together happily, and even dancing on the spot a little, while still carrying out their work at a commendable speed! Altogether 10 out of 10 in all aspects!

The location was excellent in terms of closeness to the Hagia Sophia and other sites. However, our room and bathroom were very outdated. Also, it was right by the tramway tracks, so the train noise and calls to prayer from the Hagia Sophia made it tough to sleep through the night.

Best stay ever!

It was the best choice I made. It was 8 of us! The hotel is located in a great location, you can walk to various facilities nearby. The service was very nice, especially Sevgi who served us at breakfast, she is an incredibly beautiful soul. Breakfast with relaxing music and a beautiful view. And the almond soup we had for lunch is worth recommending. If I ever come back to Istanbul, I will definitely come back to this hotel.
