I was a really good decision of choosing Villa sphendone. We really had a great time. I would definitely recommend this . The kitchen lady is just amazing so loving and jolly my kids loved her. The man saif ullah who welcomed us is really good he helped us with every other need. Its clean peaceful and comfortable. Their breakfast service and the food was really good. Higly recommended

I really enjoyed our stay at Villa Sphendone Suites. Our host, Seyfullah, was very friendly and helpful. There was traditional Turkish breakfast each day that was filling and light at the same time. Perfect way to start the day. I recommend this quaint boutique style hotel and would definitely stay there again. It's shady so close to do many things: The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Hippodrome, the Basilica Cisterna, walkable to the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar, the ferries, etc.

The hosts are really nice but the property needs to be improved. The floor was coming off in places. Some of the drawers were broken. There were no soaps or shampoo on the room when we arrived. We had to ask for them but we didn't get them on time for our first shower. After travelling for 24 hrs it want funto shower without soap or shampoo. The room was big though and it was in an excellent location. Also make sure you don't get stuck outside the hotel. The hosts don't respond if you ring the doorbell. So overall it was an ok experience.

was a good location with everything near it could do with a refurbishment a further was old breakfast was very simple no variety bathroom was very cold as radiator was broken and couldn't use jetted bath as it didn't have the sink plug you could only get hol of someone in the morning breakfast hours and Deniz was only English speaker there and you call him on the phone.

We really have a very good time in this suite, we can have good time rest while traveling just like home. Here we would like to thank Deniz, his care and hospitality from the first day we met him to the last day he arranged a car to send us to airport. We enjoyed very much of our daily conversation with him. We also would like to thank Sweet who prepared delicious meal for us every morning, her kindness, her diligent and her bright smile touch us. Thank you, thank you all to make our Istanbul trip be special and wonderful! Also the location is very convenient to access to many sites, mostly are walkable distance.

We lucked out when we checked in this beautiful villa. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. The breakfast had a lot of variety. Deniz, the host was incredible. He went above and beyond with his hospitality - recommending all the must sees on the map to personally showing us around to the Princes Islands, evenings spent playing backgammon and learning all about Turkish culture. We were absolutely gutted that we didn't spend more time at the place. I would go back to Istanbul just to spend time with Deniz, the host.

Great Location and a lovely host

We chose this place due to location for old town which is excellent. It is walking distance from all the major attractions in old istanbul and we did not need to use a taxi once. It is a traditional house converted into a hotel and so it is comfortable, quiet and clean. Deniz the owner was a pleasure to meet. He is very helpful, polite and full of knowedge with regards attractions and restaraunts etc. Breakfast is basic but everything you need to get your day started. The AC kept the room cool which was bery useful in mid August. The rooms are traditional and clean as opposed to modern and lush but they are large and very accomodating. If wtaying in istanbul for a few days and need a good location for the old town I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Great stay

As soon as i arrived Dennis the manager welcomed me in a friendly manner , upgraded my room and advised me about istanbul . The rooms are decorated in a "shabby chic" style with interesting antique pieces . Room was lovely clean and quiet with a lovely comfortable 4 poster bed . Miss Tanya the Breakfast lady was very friendly and helpful . I liked it so much i stayed an extra night ! Thank you Dennis and Miss Tanya !

Great location, close to many sights

It is a small but great place, very close to the main sights. The breakfast was good and the staff super friendly (not much English but it was not problem at all). The only inconvenient we had was during the check-in, there was nobody at the property. The staff of the hotel in front opened the door and room for us, but it was frightening at the beginning until we started asking around and were helped. I need to clarify that we arrived late (fly delayed), by 11pm and we didn't notify the hotel about that. I highly recommend this great hotel, we will definitely go back if we return to Istanbul.

In fact, I booked in this place because of the good comments that I read also because of the beautiful pictures of the room in the site, but when we reached the place at noon they took us to another building which as they said belongs to the same hotel but we sow that this is another hotel with another titel and lowest value and they let us wait in the reception for more than one hour because they have not any idea of our reservation. We realized that they cheat us, but we couldnot do any thing because I paied the money when I booked and there is no way to returne the mony back then we stayed for 3 days then we changed the hotel to another one close to it with better price and better services.

Great value in Sultanahmet

Great place. Perfect location. Nice and helpful owners. A top value in Sultanahmet. We stayed here 3 nights. Large room, one of just 4. Good breakfast includes a freshly made cheese omelette if desired. Just a few hundred meters from the Blue Mosque, dozens of restaurants and shops. Recommended.

Cozy room out of the way by the Blue Mosque. Walking and Metro is a must. Buy an Istanbul metro card. If you want night life this is not the area. Quiet at night. Not many English channels on TV.
