The security deposit serves as a guarantee for the owner in case of any damage.
It is generally not used, except to cover water and electricity consumption.

under the "property costs" fee, or via Pix upon arrival.
We deduct water and electricity usage from the security deposit, and the remainder is refunded.
If there is any damage to the house, that amount will also be deducted from the security deposit.
If the security deposit is paid through the VRBO website, it will be refunded after the payment is processed by the website.
If the security deposit is paid via Pix, the refund will be made via Pix within 24 hours after checkout.
