Had a wonderful 3 days here. Madeleine and Ken, were excellent and helpful hosts, providing suggestions for walks, wineries and restaurants. The daily homemade breakfast was delicious and varied each day. We particularly loved the fresh homemade muffins and scones. Lovely touch to have access to complimentary snacks, fruit and drinks through the day as well. Great location, comfortable room and an easy walk into town.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was absolutely amazing. The location is very walkable to dining and shopping. There are so many beautiful hikes in the area as well. We definitely would stay here again!

The Inn on Columbia is a great choice for couples traveling to Ithaca. It is a lovely home and the room was very comfortable. Madeline's breakfasts were outstanding and we loved having Olive greet us in the morning! It's also a short walk down to the Commons where there's plenty of things to do. Highly recommend!

The hosts were truly hospitable. They gave us information about the area as well as made amazing breakfasts each morning. We loved hiking several trails with water falls in the Ithaca area. We also loved that we could walk into town.

Anniversary Escape to IIthaca

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend in the Gazebo Room at Inn on Columbia. It couldn't have been better. Madeline was wonderful - she accommodated my husband's special dietary needs and she was so willing to offer suggestions about things to do in the area. She even left a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate our anniversary. We especially loved being greeted by Olive who also tolerated our 2 dogs who joined us. Thank you for a wonderful visit to Ithaca.

OK, I canceled my reservation at a more well-known boutique hotel when I saw this one popped up for about half the cost. Best move I ever made! We had the gazebo room and it was so adorable. Completely private and large with extremely comfortable bedding, a Jacuzzi tub and a walk-in shower But the real charm of this Inn are the owners. They bend over backwards to make sure you are comfortable. The breakfast in the mornings is so outrageously good with fresh homemade baked muffins and scones, along with fresh fruit, and an entrée of your choice. Coffee is plentiful and there are always cold drinks and snacks available around the clock. Location is perfect. Walkable to many places and parking is easy.

Terrific people and food, meh condition of room.

Pros: People and Food Amazing hosts- super helpful, kind, accommodating. Great food, they even packed a take away breakfast for us when we left early to hike. Fresh flowers in the room. Love the uniqueness of the gazebo. Cons: Power issues for CPAP and condition of room 1. The power in the room was motion sensitive so CPAP kept switching off all night. Tried a fix offered by host for night #2 (used different outlet per hosts directions) but it still happened. 2. Shade for the skylight over the bed is very dirty with cobwebs, dust and insects on it. 3. Bathroom has a DIY feel: cracked molding around tub, odd faucet in sink. Ends so close to the front lip of the sink that you get splashed really easily just washing your hands. 4. No shower door in room w/toilet so the whole little room gets wet when you shower. 5.The gazebo is bright and pretty during the day but it does not offer blackout curtains so morning starts EARLY. 6. AC is in the closet with boxfan used to blow cold air out. Just cosmetic, the room was cool and comfy, but feels odd and piecemeal. All in all, expected more polish for the money.
