30 kilometres away from the heart of Izu is the Kyoko's Hakone Onsen. The Sakuragaokasaryo is located 25 kilometres away. Two other accommodation options in the area include the Atami Sekitei and the Seizan Yamato.

Don't be a flamin' galah by missing out on the other cool things to see and do in Shizuoka. Shizuoka is marked by beaches, coastal plains, rivers and lakes, along with common Shizuoka destinations like the ruins and castles. Adventurous travellers may try their hand at snowboarding and skiing here.

Higashiizu is 16 kilometres to the southeast of Izu and is where you'll find the Izu Bio Park, Inatori Bunka Park and Donkutsu Shrine.
