I really wanted to like this place but the room just too shabby & run down. It could be a beautiful cozy place but just needs major updates. The carpet in the hall needs replacing, the vinyl in the bathroom was worn & I couldn’t tell if the floor was dirty or worn. Our sliding door to our balcony didn’t lock. The register covers in the floor were just nasty! Yuk! I pulled the night stand out to plug in my phone & it hadn’t been cleaned in who knows when. I checked the bedding & it appeared to be clean. The bed was comfortable & we slept good after a long travel day. The lady that checked us in was friendly. The door to where coffee & breakfast was served was locked at 7:10AM so we just left. The outside of the premises was very pretty except for the crumbled pool which hasn’t been used in years. This could be a gem but is far from it.

Cozy motel

Lovely place to stay. Room was comfortable. We enjoyed the bagels and coffee in the morning. Easy check in and out. Owner was very nice. Great restaurant across the street but definitely make a reservation! Short drive to Mt. Washington.

This lodge is a hidden treasure. It is humble, but clean, and nicely maintained. The setting is gorgeous and the location is so charming. We were traveling through, but I’d love to return and spend more time in the area. The owner was friendly and helpful.

Great people, great place for a short or long stay

we had a very quiet and peaceful stay here the covered bridge. The owners and staff treated us so well. they were very kind and considerate. For an affordable place on the river it worked for us. we will come back in the winter for another stay but longer.

Booked a room for 8 nights. Paid in full. When we arrived, the room was dirty , mold in the bathroom. Talked to the manager “owner” in the morning. I told her this isn’t what I expected. She proceeded to scream at me saying you get what you pay for, if you want a nicer room you have to pay!! She said we were stupid if we thought we would have a nice room for the price we paid. I was astounded. She also said if we didn’t like it to get out. She said NO REFUND. We left. DO NOT STAY HERE

Bed was comfortable enough. Hot water and good pressure in the shower. Convenient to have mini-fridge. Large crack in glass of sliding glass door was a safety hazard and put the riverview balcony off limits.

At check in, no one was at the office. Doors gets locked too early. Was not able to access anything after such an early time not even water or ice. Staff never answers phone for any help. Overall, this is a terrible experience

Never ended up staying here. Woman was very rude. Told me because apparently I “made a face” that I could get off her property without a refund. She called me ignorant. And said she was glad to be the one to tell me I was ignorant. I believe she is a scam artist because the local police said this is very common behavior for this woman.
