This appears to be a brand new property so everything was clean and in working order. I would have expected different lighting controls in the room given the switching layouts, plus the lighting color temperature is harsh and not inviting. The lighting in the bathroom was sufficient for me as a male, but I could see it being very deficient for anyone trying to apply makeup, put in contacts attempt anything requiring attention to detail as there was only a dimly rear-edge illuminated mirror and one recessed light over the shower.

The big mistake: The designer! Tons of expensive features implemented terribly! Room lights are bright like a stadium, ambient light above bed might have been nice if it were on a separate switch from the stadium lights, parking lot lights flash, Venetian blinds don’t successfully block outside lights, no ice machine in building, bathroom light above shower so bright I turned it off, which means the fan doesn’t run, which means the bathroom will end up moldy. Seating not comfortable. I’d have been happier with a room half the size with ceilings 3’ shorter in exchange for features that actually felt comfortable. No lighting overhead the breakfast bar, no desk, no desk light… all style over practicality, not impressed. You can do better Marriott! Lots of money wasted in my opinion! Big shock given that most of my stays are at lower price point choice hotels, wyndam etc.

The room was very clean. The staff was very nice. We had never stayed at this particular type of hotel so we did not realize the staff left from 10-7. The air conditioner sounded like someone shoveling snow every time it came on. The window had a shade but no curtain so the sun was nice and bright as soon as it came up. The rooms did not have coffee pots and there is no coffee in the lobby. The rooms are extended stay but there is nothing in the rooms such as a pan or utensils. The freezer had setting water inside.
