I liked this property for the location & price. It's truly basic & the best deal close to the beach on Amelia Island. Staff was cheerful & friendly. Room was clean & bright, but a little damp when it rained. Fixtures in bathroom need replacement but everything worked & we appreciated the bargain for a short 2 night stay to visit friends & hit the beach for a little fun in the sun. Plenty of free parking & the breakfast had several heat & eat options along with real biscuits & sausage gravy.

The staff was very sweet. But overall we could tell the bedsheet have not been changed. We didn’t realize until it was late already in bed. And both my husband and I felt like there was sand in the bed. Now we probably could have called and maybe get a new room but we were tired and just sucked it up. I wanted to tell the girl in the morning when I checked out but she was busy on the phone so I just wanted to make you all aware.

I understand it was a festival weekend and when I called around 10 am to ask if early check in was available I was told “that’s not going to happen the hotel had 109 departures that afternoon and none of the guest had even left. Which I am very understanding about and don’t expect an early check in. I’ve stayed in the hotel multiple time and continue to be a patron. This stay was less than pleasant. I was charged an additional 10$ to park at the hotel that I am a paying guest at. There weren’t very many guest in the hotel. I counted maybe 25 cars in the very large lot. I had to call the front desk to inquire about the WI FI password and how to use the new Roku television. That I was told the staff wasn’t knowledgeable about. She did offer to assist me but I declined and figured it out. When I retired to take a bath the products in the shower were half used and had pubic hair on them. I walked to the pizzeria which is amazing, and had to ask for cups from the restaurant since those were not provided in the room. I was also displeased that my room was adjacent to a public pickleball court that was being used pretty late into the evening and at 7 a.m. I would love to continue to offer my business to this establishment since it is my preferred place to stay while visiting the beach. I would like a more knowledgeable and friendly staff and a clean room. Maybe set reasonable hours on a very noisy sport outside of the rooms.

This place is not what is on the pictures. The bed when we got there had no mattress and the staff up front said the cleaning room was locked. there was trash everywhere.
