It was pretty clean for an old home, however, in our brief stay, we had huge roaches in the kitchen area. We used plastic ware, paper plates we had brought as well as our own coffee maker, so we can’t address that. The pink bathroom sink faucet wouldn’t completely turn off; the commode ran about every 8-10 seconds 24-hrs a day; there was no wifi, no TV to check weather when there were storms coming in. Because of no wifi, we never were able to reach the owner or caretaker, but left a note regarding not having instructions about towels-linens-trash when we were leaving and what needed attention. The carpet in the pink bedroom needs to be replaced, the shutters are broken or need attention. It really should not have been rented out until all those things were addressed, but we stayed because it was non-refundable and we were unable to find other accommodations on short notice. The home is centrally located. This may all sound harsh, but the owners need to understand renters’ expectations. It can be a lovely home to rent if they fix it up some and clean up the yard.
